Samantha Akkineni is currently shooting for her upcoming film with director Nandini Reddy which is yet to be titled. And going by the reports, the film gets a title which has a connection with Samantha s 100-crore film of the year Rangasthalam. Sources reveal that the film has been titled Oh Baby! Yentha Sakkagunave which is a song from the film Rangasthalam starring Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni. The song, Yentha Sakkagunave, was a folklore number which had Ram describing Samantha's rustic beauty in the narrative of Rangsasthalam. Reports also reveal that the film will have Samantha playing a role which hasn't been attempted in the past in Telugu cinema. Besides the actress, the film also stars Naga Shaurya in a key role while veteran actors Lakshmi and Rajendra Prasad will be seen donning important roles too.
Rangasthalam was directed by Sukumar and is one of the biggest hits of 2018. With Rangasthalam, Samantha became the only actress who has more than five films in the Rs. 100-crore club which includes hits like Dookudu and Mersal. She was last seen in U-Turn which was a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and was a remake of the Kannada hit film with the same title. Talking about director Nandini Reddy, the filmmaker hasn t made a film in a while and her last directorial was Kalyana Vaibhogam in 2016. Nandini had headed the web series Gangstars which featured Jagapathi Babu and Navdeep in key roles. This will be the second film of Nandini and Samantha together after having previously worked on Jabardasth in 2013.
