Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega 9 January 2019 written update of full episode: Parv's plan to defeat Guddan

As Parv tries to deprive Guddan from the idea of using masks in the party, she just tries to keep the mask on his eyes but he removes it. She says to him that the mask exposes the real faces of people. Grandmother of AJ comes there asking whether they can t do anything before the party starts revealing that the party is kept to catch up the kidnapper. Later she realizes that she asked it in front of Parv even though Guddan had asked her not to reveal the real reason of arranging the party to anyone. Parv laughs all at the secret plan of Guddan. He teases her wishing her all the best for catching up the kidnapper. Guddan also gets disappointed. But grandmother suggests her if they can keep some dance performances in the party but Guddan says that if they all get into all the dance performances. Grandmother asks her not to worry as she will be able to perform the rituals and look for the kidnapper. Parv is tensed as he is not able to understand how he can get rid of the mask party. He tries some tricks like wearing a goggle but it doesn t work. Guddan feels to make Sidhi ready for the party. Parv bursts his anger on his wife revealing the fact that he is the kidnapper whom Guddan is looking for. While he is threatening his wife, Guddanis heading towards their room. She notices Parv trying to kill his so she shouts at him. He pretends that Sidhhi couldn t take the medicine properly so he was just helping her in that. Guddan asks him to stay away from Sidhhi. Parv taunts her as her husband stays away from her. Guddan asks him not to do any drama and asks him to leave from there as she needs to make Sidhhi ready for the party. He takes the papers of sketches from there with him. He is confident that without mask she will not be able to identify him.

While Guddan is getting ready, she finds it difficult to fix the saree properly. By that time Akshat comes there. She feels awkward asking him that he should have knocked the door before coming in. AJ asks her to get aside from the mirror as he also needs to get ready as he is not aware that she is not properly ready. She later tells him that her blouse hook is not getting fixed. He tells her that he will fix it but she feels very shy. She starts crying blaming him for not appreciating her efforts for organizing the party. He says that he will close the eyes and fix the blouse hook issue. They come closer for the same. Guddan gets awkward but at the same time she loves as he is close to her. But AJ does all that closing his eyes. Later he leaves from there.

The party starts. Guests start coming. Laxmi and Saru are still having the same problems of blindness and injured leg. While a guest questions grandmother about keeping the party after so many days of the marriage, Guddan comes there saying that there should not be any reason to celebrate the happiness in the life. Grandmother appreciates her. Durga is not happy with it as she feels that Guddan is the guest for 3-4 days as there will no kidnapper. Parv also gets ready for the party. He feels that it is going to be tough for Guddan as she will not be able to identify him. He decides to be around her sister to divert her attention and later destroy all the masks. He doesn t take Siddhi with him in the party saying that he will be meeting Chhutki. Guddan s parents and sister arrive in the party. Guddan s mother greets AJ s grandmother appreciating the idea of organizing the reception. Durga informs them that Guddan has kept the reception herself. Parv comes there. He greets Guddan s mother as mother-in-law but later corrects himself. He welcomes them. He compliments Chhutki for looking pretty. He asks her for dance. While Chhutki is supposed to keep her hand in his hand, Guddan brings Siddhi between them. Parv gets angry on her. She says that he would have not enjoyed the party without Siddhi so she took her there. Later Chhutki and Guddan go in her room. Parv gets angry as he thought of spending time with Revati but Guddan is being a problem. He is tensed as he will not be able to find out the box of masks. Revati and Guddan go to her room. Revati wants to tell her something but Guddan is busy with the party preparations. Revati gets upset as she wants to discuss about Parv but she sees that Guddan hates Parv a lot.

Woah! Ranbir Kapoor was offered to play a second fiddle to Ranveer Singh in Gully Boy?

Since the time the trailer of Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy has been dropped, everyone is going gaga over it. People are loving Ranveer's avatar who plays rapper Divine in the movie. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt caught everyone's attention with her small yet significant appearance in the trailer. The celebrities are hailing the movie, along with the masses. However, if certain reports are to be believed, Ranbir Kapoor was also supposed to star in the film. Shocked?! Even we are. Reportedly two and a half years ago, when Zoya was finalising her cast for the musical drama, Mr Kapoor showed his keen interest in the project, without knowing that the director had already casted Singh for the lead character.

Thinking what happened next? Well, apparently to Kapoor's surprise, Zoya offered him a secondary character who is a supporting one to Singh's character in the plot. Kapoor immediately declined to play the character. Clearly, Zoya was in no mood to replace Singh.

Do you think this could be anyway a dig taken by Zoya due to her past experience with Kapoor? Well, for those who might not know, Kapoor was offered to play Ranveer's character in Dil Dhadkane Do and Ranbir had refused it back then. And he also declined a part in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. So probably this is just a cycle? What do you think?

Interestingly, Ranbir's current girlfriend Alia Bhatt plays the female lead in the movie.

Furthermore, during the trailer launch of the movie, Ranveer shouted out loud that if someone else would have bagged this character, then he would have not been the happiest. "Ye movie meri hai aur kisi aur ko milti toh main jal ke raakh ho jaata," he said.

Well, let's see if Ranbir and Ranveer could be seen together in a movie some day.

Since it is the uber-handsome, Farhan Akhtar‘s birthday, we thought we’d shower him with some love for his outstanding performances that stole our hearts and made us love him a lot more! For those of you who are highly unaware, he made his directorial debut with Dil Chahta Hai in 2001 and his acting debut with Rock On in 2008. Ever since then, he hasn’t stopped giving us epic performances with each of his films. Actor or director, we love Farhan in any hat he dons. We’re hoping to see more of him in 2019, whether it’s on screen or behind the screen because we know for a fact he will ace whatever he takes on.

Here is a list of my favourite performances of Farhan that you should definitely watch:

1. Adi in Rock On 

While it is widely known that this movie was Farhan’s acting and singing debut, he also produced and penned the dialogues for it. We loved how Farhan effortlessly transformed from a carefree college band lead singer to a brooding businessman. While some of it had to do with his change in looks from a messy haired rockstar to  a proper corporate person,  his performance was a perfect 10 and nobody would have said he was a debutante. Right from his first acting stint, he proved that he was B-town’s all-rounder.

2. Kabir in Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara

Amongst the 3 friends, Kabir was surely the most charming, entertaining and flirty, as we can rightly call him Majnu. Kabir reminded us of that one friend we all share a love-hate relationship with, because he always has a fresh prank up his sleeve! Do you have a Kabir in your friend circle, too?

3. Milkha Singh in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag 

This is the first time Farhan was seen in a biopic and like always he excelled in the role. He had a strict diet and an intense workout plan to get the body of the original Indian sprinter Milkha Singh. It was all worth it as his commendable dedication and commitment, along with his on-point performance bagged him 5 awards for Best Actor.

4. Sunny in Dil Dhadakne Do

Even though Sunny is not one of the lead characters of the film, he does full justice as a supporting character. His character is etched in our minds because he strongly promotes gender equality and manages to steal our heart, like always.

5. Karthik in Karthik calling Karthik

Here’s when we saw him play a completely new character and we couldn’t help but be mesmerised by him. The movie was a nerve wracking, psychological thriller and Farhan played Karthik – a serious, intense and introverted man. As the movie progresses, we get to see him play the nerdboy and his slightly scary alter ego to absolute perfection.

6. Daanish Ali in Wazir

In Wazir, he plays an intriguing role of an Anti-terrorist squad officer alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Just incase you didn’t know, he went through rigorous physical training and had to gain 8 kilos for this particular role. In this thriller, Farhan leaves no stone unturned in giving us another power packed performance.

7. Kishan in Lucknow Central

Farhan plays the role of a wrongly accused prisoner who simultaneously discovers his love and passion for music. This fight against the odds kinda film entirely rested on Farhan’s able shoulders and he delivers. Another unique movie with a unique role played by Farhan!

8. Vikram Jaisingh in Luck By Chance

Vikram, a struggling actor faces several setbacks as he tries to pave his path in Bollywood. His character is extremely inspiring as he teaches us how to handle both success and failure and finally come out strong.

And these are Farhan Akhtar’s performances I absolutely love and those that you should definitely watch if you haven’t already. Actor, director, scriptwriter, producer and singer – Farhan is certainly a man of many talents who has mastered them all.

Thanks to Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, Indian Cricketers may not be allowed to be a part of chat shows

Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul were Wednesday issued show cause notices by the BCCI for their comments on women on a TV show that triggered a massive outrage and might prompt the Board to bar players from such appearances. Pandya, whose remarks on 'Koffee with Karan' were criticised as sexist, apologised for his remarks, saying he got "carried away by the nature" of the show. Rahul, on the other hand, has not yet responded to the criticism.

"We have sent showcause notices to Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul for their comments. They have been given 24 hours to give an explanation," Chairman of the Committee of Administrators that runs the BCCI, Vinod Rai, told PTI.

The 25-year-old all-rounder and Rahul appeared on the celebrity chat show, hosted by film-maker Karan Johar, together.

Taking to Twitter, Pandya posted, "After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way.

"Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments. Respect."

On the show, Pandya boasted about hooking up with multiple women and also how open he has been about it with his parents.

When asked why he didn't ask women their name in a club, Pandya responded by saying, "I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move."

Criticism started coming Pandya's way soon after and it is learnt that he was ticked off by the BCCI top brass.

According to a source, his comments were deemed "crass and cringeworthy" and might have a bearing on whether Indian cricketers appear on "such non-cricket shows" after this.

"It will be considered whether players should even be allowed to appear on such shows which have got nothing to do with cricket," a BCCI source told PTI.

Pandya is currently with the Indian team in Australia where it recently recorded a historic maiden Test series win.

Pandya had joined the team before the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne after recovering from a back injury which he had suffered during the Asia Cup in UAE last year.

He will be seen in action in the three-match ODI series against Australia which starts on January 12 in Sydney.

NTR Kathanayakudu Box Office Report: This Balakrishna-Vidya Balan-starrer is off to a great start in the US

NTR Kathanayakudu, the first instalment of the NTR biopic, is out now and has been receiving great response from all around. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, NTR Kathanayakudu has Nandamuri Balakrishna and Vidya Balan playing the lead roles. Expectations were quite high from this film in terms of collections and going by the latest reports, the biopic seems to be heading in the right direction. In the US, the biopic has already gone past the half a million dollar mark at the box office right on the first day of its release. NTR Kathanayakudu has earned a gross collection of approximately $500,000 from the premiere and first day shows in the US which is the highest ever for a Balakrishna film. The film beats Gautamiputra Satakarni in the US which had collected approximately $375,000 on its first day.

Sai Pallavi refuses to accept remuneration for Padi Padi Leche Manasu and THIS is the reason

South Indian actress Sai Pallavi had two releases in December in Tamil and Telugu and one of the films couldn t meet the expectations of the audience eventually turning out to be a dud. Maari 2 and Padi Padi Leche Manasu released on December 21, 2018 worldwide and the latter couldn t manage to have a good run at the theatres. Padi Padi Leche Manasu starred Sharwanand in the other lead role and was directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. And according to latest reports, Sai Pallavi has refused to accept the remuneration due to her from the producers since the film turned out to be a flop. The producers had reportedly given the actress half of her remuneration as advance before the start of the film and agreed to pay the other half after the release. But since the film turned out to be a flop, Sai refused to accept the other half of her payment to help the producers recover the losses.

This gesture by the actress is earning her respect from film fraternity which is lauding her thought of helping the producers. These kind of gestures were displayed by many stars in the past like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan who would reimburse the producers and distributors if they ended up in losses because of their films.

Sai Pallavi will be next seen in NGK and will be pairing up with Suriya for the first time. The film is being directed by Selvaraghavan and Tamil movie-buffs are quite kicked about it.

Kanne Kalaimaane trailer: Udhay Stalin and Tamannaah share adorable chemistry in this rural drama by Seenu Ramasamy

Director Seenu Ramasamy has managed to rope in Udhay Stalin and Tamannaah for his upcoming film which is titled Kanne Kalaimaane. This intense drama has all the actors sporting rural looks which seems to be the essence of the film. The lovely chemistry between Udhay and Tamannaah stands out in this interesting trailer which was released by the makers today. Ramasamy, who is known for making films like Neerparavai and Dharma Durai, is back in business with Kanne Kalaimaane. Tamannaah s de-glam look catches your attention instantly and Udhay's portrayal as a rural young man is impressive.

For The First Time In Indian History A Woman Will Be Leading The Army Day Parade

Even though it’s been 72 years since independence, the subject of freedom and equality was seldom a happy discussion. We have fought for equal rights for both genders on various topics but we know for a fact that there is still a long way to go. But today, we have a piece of good news to share. The year 2019 has just begun and it’s already making the world a better place to live in. This year’s Army Day Parade will witness a first, here’s why.

Lieutenant Bhavana Kasturi will be leading the Army Services Corps Contingent at the 71st Army Day Parade this year. She will be the first female officer to lead an army contingent in the history of the Indian Army. The parade will be held on 15th January 2019 and will be a sight to watch and root for. The Contingent that will be lead by her will comprise of 144 jawans, how awesome is that?

Lt. Bhavana Kasturi also spoke to The Pioneer about how this is the first time ever for a lady contingent to lead the army day parade and how the higher authorities have been working hard and recognising the efforts put in by the female officers.

She also expressed her thoughts about this positive change and said,

This shows the kind of acceptance, the change and the evolutions which is happening in the entire organisation. This shows acceptance for women officers also.

That’s not all. Captain Shikha, too, will be seen leading a team of 33 men riding on 9 bikes in a pyramid form. You can experience this iconic event on 26th January 2019 as well as on the Army Day Parade. We’re definitely getting a feeling that this year is going to be a lot of boss ladies bringing in a lot of firsts!

Divine, the man behind the Gully Boy story, has THIS to say about the trailer

It is a musical day at BollywoodLife s office and it s all thanks to Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt s Gully Boy. The Zoya Akhtar-directorial dropped the first trailer of the movie, leaving us spellbound. The film sees Ranveer playing a rapper for the first time in his career. While we love the musical version of the actor, not many might know that the February release is inspired by Mumbai-based rapper Divine, whose real name is Vivian Fernandes. The songster spent most of 2018 working with the team of Gully Boy. He has also penned down five tracks for the movie.

Sharing his thoughts on the Gully Boy trailer, he said in a statement, I have been waiting for this and it s surreal to see this happen. From doing cyphers on the corners to watching the scene on the big screen, dreams. Gully Boy has been a big part of my life for the last few months, and this is exciting for me, and for hip-hop in India. People got a taste of what awaits them with Asli hip-hop . Hip-hop is the voice of the streets and Gully Boy will take it to every corner of the country.

The superstar is seen slaying it like a boss and taking on the baddies in style. This latest promo brings back the memories of Rajinikanth from the 90's and Petta seems to be a feast for the fans. The actor will be seen playing a gangster yet again in this one. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Petta is said to be a dedication to Rajinikanth s style and swag which fans have always gone gaga over. It was a special day for Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as their upcoming movie Gully Boy s trailer released today. The promo gave us a glimpse at the musical movie which is going to unfold the events of a Mumbai-based rapper while he realises that music is his life. By the time the trailer ended, we found ourselves going wow as we watched Ranveer and Alia. While this was the first time we saw Alia in this avatar, Ranveer took us back in time, back to where it all started. He dragged us back to Band Baaja Baaraat.

Ranveer s look in Gully Boy comes extremely close to his role in his debut movie. Right from his hairdo to his outfit and expressions, there are several shots that took us back to the 2010 movie. एक लड़की को देखा तो ऐसा लगा के ट्रेलर को देखकर मुझे बहुत ख़ुशी हुई के बॉलीवुड में ऐसी फिल्में बन रही है, जिसकी हमें बहुत ज़रुरत है। और अब इस फिल्म का पहला गाना हो चूका है रिलीज़। जब से  मैंने ट्रेलर में, एक लड़की को देखा तो ऐसा लगा टाइटल ट्रैक की धुन सुनी, तभी से मैं पूरा गाना सुनने का बेसब्री से इंतज़ार कर रही थी। यह गाना, 1942: ए लव स्टोरी में आरडी बर्मन के ट्रैक का एक रिक्रिएटेड वर्ज़न है, जिसमें अनिल कपूर और मनीषा कोइराला ने मुख्य भूमिका निभाई थी, और इसे विधु विनोद चोपड़ा ने निर्देशित किया था।

सच बताऊँ तो मुझे पुराने गानों के रीमेक कुछ ख़ास पसंद नहीं आते, लेकिन, ‘एक लड़की को देखा तो ऐसा लगा’ का ये रीमेक, मुझे बहुत पसंद आया। सोनम कपूर, राजकुमार राव, अनिल कपूर और जूही चावला का ये गाना, निश्चित रूप से आपकी रोमांटिक ट्रैक की लिस्ट में सबसे पहले आने वाला है। इस गाने को दर्शन रावल और रोचक कोहली ने गाया है, और रोचक ने गाने को नई धुन भी दी है।

Jodha Akbar 9 January 2019 written update of full episode: Jalal discovers leadership qualities in Jodha

Today s episode starts with Jodha begum s friend advising her not to interfere into the jurisdiction of Ruquiya Begum. Jodha is also afraid of Ruquiya Begum s reaction on the issue. On the other side Ruquiya begum is also confident that Jalal will not give any decision which will go against her. She also decides not to spare Jodha Begum. In the assembly hall, all gather. Jalal arrives there. Jalal expresses his wish to meet the three Ruksana, Mazhar and Aziza. He asks all of them about their wish that they want to do. Mazhar, Aziza and Ruksana express their views about the issue they have about the triangle of love. Ruquiya and Jodha begum try to defend the side of Aziza and Ruksana respectively. Finally he gives his decision that Ruksana and Mazhar cannot get married. He also gives time of a month for three of them to sort out their issue within themselves. He asks all his begums to reveal their views about his decision. Most of the begums complain about Ruquiya begum. Maham interferes defending Ruquiya begum. Ruquiya asks about the person who wants to take the responsibility of Haram instead of her. Jalal asks rests of the begums who is willing to take the responsibility of Haram but no one agrees but later most of them take names of Jodha begum. Jodha refuses to do so. Ruquiya begum says that she has no issue about it but Jodha says that she is not eligible for the same. Jalal gives time of one day to all to decide about the head of Haram else he won t listen anything against Ruquiya.

Other begums discuss about the behaviour of Ruquiya and Jodha begum. They feel that Jodha begum is capable to handle Haram as she understands emotions even Ruquiya begum s sister wants Jodha to take the responsibility of Haram. A servant hears that Saleema begum praised Jodha begum so she decides to feul Ruquiya begum against her by informing the same so that she can get some reward. Jodha comes to meet Jalal. She thanks him for solving the issue between Aziza and Ruksana. Jalal asks her to give her a head massage as he is having headache. He appreciates her as begums of Haram has started praising her as she has started understanding them. He tries to provoke Jodha begum for agreeing to handle the jurisdiction of Haram. Jodha begum gets upset so she asks him to take rest and leaves from there. He feels that Jodha begum will have to handle many responsibilities from the next day as he knows that she can handle Haram well than Ruquiya begum.

In the next scene, Ruquiya begum comes to Saleema begum questioning her about praising Jodha begum. She blames Saleem begum for cheating on her by supporting Jodha begum. Ruquiya is very much angry on her as she is egoistic. Saleema asks her to be in limits while talking to her. Saleema begum says that whatever happened with Ruquiya has happened because of her rude behaviour. She advices Ruquiya begum to improve her behaviour else she may have to lose her position in Haram. She also says that Jodha begum understands emotions better than Ruquiya begum. She asks Ruquiya begum to think properly about her behaviour. Ruquiya leaves from there in anger.

Jalal comes to meet Ruquiya begum. But Ruquiya is still upset as most of the ladies of Haram are supporting Jodha. She shares that Saleema begum also supports Jodha. Jalal informs Ruquiya by provoking her about Jodha but he also warns her to be careful and not to assume that Jodha is weak as he feels that Jodha begum is very talented. Ruquiya declares that if anyone can handle the jurisdiction of Haram for even 4-5 days, she will leave from there.

Next day Jodha begum comes out of a temple. She sees some poor people craving for water as they are thirsty. While she goes to help them, her guard asks her not to go and help those people as they have been arrested and are supposed to be sold out. Jodha begum fires him. She gives water to those people. They bless her. They ask her for some food. Jodha orders her guards to feed them before taking there anywhere. While she is about to get into her lift which is carried by the servants, she notices that a small boy who is not having proper clothes is sitting inside. She doesn t tell anyone about him. She gives him some food. The boy shares that his mother has been sold to a wholeseller but he escaped from there. He cries for his mother. Jodha gets shocked to know that.

Jodha gives proper food once she gets back home. She decides to keep him there itself till she finds his mother. Ruksar also says to Jodha that she should take the responsibility of Haram but Jodha refuses to agree to that. Ruksar takes Jodha begum to show the real face of Haram. Jodha is shocked to see the servants who are kept in Haram and ruled by others, some of them come when Haram wins a war or some are bought from the market. So Ruksar again requests Jodha begum to accept the responsibility of Haram so that the servant ladies can be released. Jodha is in dilemma as there are people who have trust on her but on the other side Ruquiya begum is there who will get angry on her for snatching the jurisdiction of Haram from her. She recollects the faces of people arrested including the small boy begging her for help. Jalal comes there. He says that he also comes at the same place when he is in dilemma. He asks her to take the correct decision. He boosts her moral showing confidence in her. He reminds her of the qualities she has in herself. Later Jodha begum leaves from there. He feels that there will be a blast as Jodha was silent even after he said so many things to her. Maham is happy to see Jodha begum as she looks worried and tensed. She says to Resham that upcoming time is not going to be good for Ruquiya as she is very much relaxed and overconfident but Jodha is trying to boost her moral with full strength. On the other side Ruquiya wants to sleep properly as she is confident that Jodha will not be able to take the responsibility of Haram. Javeda, the daughter in law of Maham also feels that Ruquiya is going to lose her jurisdiction of Haram and expresses her wish to be the head of Haram. Maham gets angry on her and asks her not to say anything in front of the Emperor.

Next day all again assemble in the hall. Maham fuels Ruquiya by praising her to be the best. Jalal arrives there asking for the decision for the jurisdiction of Haram. He questions all about who can take the responsibility of Haram. Jodha begum recollects the poor people arrested and also the small boy. So she expresses her wish to take the responsibility of Haram. Most of the begums are happy about it. But Ruquiya begum and Maham are shocked to hear that. She declares to challenge Ruquiya begum to handle the jurisdiction of Haram so that the emotions of all the ladies will be protected. Jalal announces that the decision of the same will be done by voting after 4 days. Maham feels that Ruquiya should do something for not letting her position go from her hands.

The chirpy and gorgeous VJ Anusha Dandekar turns a year older today. The lady rang in her birthday with her family and beau, Karan Kundrra in what looked like a family bash. Dhruv Vikram's Varmaa trailer oozes love, breakup and pain but lacks the precision of Arjun Reddy – watch video

The 2017 blockbuster hit film Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda is being remade in Tamil and is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Bala. Dhruv Vikram, son of Chiyaan Vikram, will make his debut in films with this romantic saga which titled Varmaa. The original is one of the most raved about films in Telugu in the recent past. The makers have now unveiled the trailer of Varmaa which was launched by Suriya Sivakumar via social media. The video has Dhruv Vikram expressing love, breakup, pain and sorrow but surely lacks the punch which Arjun Reddy offered. The actor as a pained young doctor expresses his emotion intensely and lead actress, Megha Choudhury, too makes an impression for herself. However, Varmaa seems to be far away from the rawness which Arju Reddy offered. Watch the trailer of Varmaa right here:

The makers seem to have tried to make the remake suitable for the likings of the Tamil audience. However, since Arjun Reddy had cast its magic on the audience in every language, the comparison seems inevitable.

Varmaa also stars veteran actress Easwari Rai in a key role who was seen in Kaala alongside Rajinikanth. Raiza Wilson will be seen playing another pivotal role which you would be able to guess if you have watched the original. The music of this Tamil remake is composed by Radhan who had rendered the compositions for the original as well. Varmaa is being produced by Mukesh Mehta under the banner of E4 Entertainments.

"Kalank" also features Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Aditya Roy Kapur. Abhishek Varman is directing the epic drama, which will hit the screens on April 19. Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha were in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh to finish the last schedule of the film. The actresses beat the chill by seating in front of the bonfires.

Besides being a landmark in the careers of certain actors and actresses, the Golden Globe Awards also worked wonders for Fiji Water. This was solely due to the model who photobombed top stars like Idris Elba and Jamie Lee Curtis. Apex Marketing Group, a marketing analytics firm has stated that the water company made a Golden Globes record for earned impressions. If the firm wanted similar kind of buzz through traditional means of advertising, it would have had to shell out $12 million on ads. Fiji Water model Kelleth Cuthbert was clicked in the background of top stars on the red carpet.

Gully Boy trailer: Is the Ranveer Singh-starrer an answer to Eminem’s 8 Mile? We noticed similarities

Ranveer Singh sheds his Simmba persona for Zoya Akhtar s Gully Boy. The movie sees the actor turn into a rapper based out of Mumbai. The actor stars opposite Alia Bhatt in the film and we were left speechless when we saw the two get into the skin of their characters. While we were applauding the two stars, we couldn t help but remember Eminem-starrer 8 Mile. The international singer, who has sung hit numbers like Lose Yourself and Love The Way You Lie among many more, was seen in the 2002 movie playing a struggling rapper with a messed up life. The rapper participates in a rapping competition, which is a do-or-die moment of his life.

To brush up our memories, we decided to go back to the trailer of 8 Mile. And boy, we were in for a ride. There were at least three scenes from the trailer itself which we felt were recreated in Gully Boy s trailer. There are points in the Gully Boy trailer where Ranveer is seen practicing his rap, his gestures are extremely similar to Eminem in the movie. It feels as though Ranveer has drawn some inspiration from the Hollywood rapper.

Another scene that caught our attention in both the trailers was the solo performance by both the artists. In the Gully Boy trailer, you see Ranveer perform in front of an audience in a club. He is surrounded by a hall full of people replicating his hand gesture. The exact same scene is seen in 8 Mile. Eminem enthralls the audience with his mind-blowing rap to win their hearts.

There is also a moment when Ranveer is seen having a faceoff with another rapper in the trailer. In 8 Mile too, Eminem is seen having a face-off (obviously because it is a competition) and the setup is the same.

While these were just a few scenes, we think Gully Boy will be different from 8 Mile, given that it is based on the life of Divine, an Indian rapper. Well, we ll have to wait and watch out for the film that is slated to release on February 14.

Manisha Koirala on Rakesh Roshan being diagnosed with cancer: I will pray to God that he comes out as a winner

Actress Manisha Koirala says she is sure that actor-director Rakesh Roshan, who is diagnosed with early stage cancer, will come out as a winner. On Tuesday, actor Hrithik Roshan shared on his social media accounts that his father Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with early stage of squamous cell carcinoma, a type of cancer.

A cancer survivor herself, Manisha reacted to the news and said: "I can say only one thing that there is a way out. One should not give up because there is treatment available to this disease. I am sure he will come out of it as winner and I will pray to god that he comes out of it as a winner."

The actress was interacting at her book launch titled "Healed" along with celebrated names like Mahesh Bhatt, Anupam Kher, Imtiaz Ali, Amruta Fadnavis, Deepti Naval, Rekha and Dia Mirza Tuesday here.

Talking about journey overcoming deadly disease like cancer, Manisha said: "I feel it was a kind of gift for me from life. Whenever we face any difficulties, we get upset about it but I feel difficulties come in our life to teach us something that we didn't know about ourselves. It gives something good in return.

"When I was diagnosed with Cancer that time, I was traumatised but when I look back, I feel it has given me new perspective to see life in a different light and lot of hope about many things in life. It also made me realise that how important my life and health is to me."

A string of Bollywood celebrities like Rakesh Roshan, Sonail Bendre, Irrfan Khan and Anurag Basu have fought Cancer in recent times.

Asked Manisha what is the reason people from film industry are getting diagnosed with cancer, she said: "People know these things about bollywood celebrities because they are public figures but this disease so prevalent in our society. I read one statistics that in developing countries between every three individual one individual is diagnosed with cancer that is the reason why, we should do early check-ups because if you can detect it in early stage then you can treat really well."
