In yet another round of bizarre rumours regarding the health of celebs, it was heard that legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has been hospitalised due to illness. Several reports claimed that the veteran has taken to bed and that led to fans worrying about the nightingale's health. However, the singer has now taken to social media to rubbish all such rumours and reassure her well-wishers. She tweeted, "Namaskar. Meri sehat ke baare mein kuch afwaahein uth rahi hain Lekin aap in par vishwas na karein. Main bilkul swasth hun aur apne ghar mein hun." It is shocking and disgraceful to see such headlines, especially given the condition of Sonali Bendre, Irrfan Khan and veteran actress Nafisa Ali who are fighting a battle against cancer. However, this isn't the first time that the internet has declared someone ill contrary to the truth. Case in point, Shahid Kapoor who was said to be diagnosed with stomach cancer. So much so that, he had to tweet and clarify that it was all a hoax. He had written, "Guys I m totally fine pl don t believe random stuff." We hope people will stop spreading such disparaging stories about celebs without getting a confirmation.
