Actor Himanshu Malhotra, who has joined the cast of the television show "Mariam Khan - Reporting Live", says his character in the serial has shades from actor Ranbir Kapoor's role from "Rockstar".

The show recently took a leap and Himanshu will be seen playing the role of Zain Ashraf.

"I always look for a portrayal where I can explore myself more and rediscover myself. I play a rock star and interestingly, my character has shades from one of my favorite character of all times -- of Ranbir Kapoor from the 'Rockstar' movie... It oscillates between attachment and detachment in life.

"I had fallen in love with Ranbir's character and I hope I can portray it in my unique manner. I am looking forward to the viewers' response," Himanshu said in a statement.

A Decade Later We Are Remembering Some Of The Many Acts Of Bravery Of 26/11

It’s been 10 long years since the horrific 26/11 Mumbai Attack took place. The country mourned for the lives that were lost in the most gruesome, unfortunate manner. 10 terrorists forced their way into Mumbai and attacked it heartlessly. Since then, every day this year we remind ourselves to be thankful to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives so we could live. The police, as well as the common citizens, set a great example of how India is all about unity. All came together to reduce the impact of the attack to the minimum, doing their bit in any way possible. So today, as we witness the 10th year after the attack, let us all take a moment to acknowledge and pray for these acts of bravery by not one or two people but the entire nation.

Tukaram Omble‘s Bravery

A retired army man and assistant sub-inspector who had a fearless heart ended the attack. Upon receiving information about the terrorist’s car approaching Marine Lines, he positioned barricades to block the car’s way. At the time, 9 out of 10 terrorists were dead. The lone survivor was Ajmal Kasab, who was sentenced to death 4 years later. Assuming Kasab dead, he carefully approached him. That’s when Kasab opened fire. Tukaram’s quick thinking and brave heart led him to hold the firing gun to his body and take the bullets to himself so that he couldn’t claim more lives. This did save so many lives and helped in catching Kasab alive.

The Police And The Army

We’re alive and living peacefully because of these heroes. With weapons that weren’t as strong as the terrorist’s, the police and the army dived in without giving a second thought to their own safety. Strategically and bravely, they reduced the potential magnitude of damage to a great extent. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten by the entire nation.

The Station Announcer

That night changed a lot of things for all of us. Vishnu Zende was at CST station during the attacks and he was the station announcer. The first hint he got that something was off when he heard a loud thud! The shooting started immediately after that leaving no time to think or react. Vishnu quickly made the announcement guiding people to exit from the 1st platform and saved so many lives.

The Ones Hiding On The Tracks

Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station also witnessed a night of horror. When the terrorists opened fire at the station, escaping that attack seemed next to impossible. With bloodshed everywhere and bullets zooming past every second, many people hid on the railway tracks. It was a close call indeed but they all remained contained till the terrorists passed them. It was extremely brave of everyone there who did not let fear take the wheel.

The Bomb Detection Squad

Fear isn’t something that is only experienced by humans. But these brave dogs squad were just as fearless as their guiding team. The 4 dogs— Max, Tiger, Sultan, and Caesar also played a very crucial part during these attacks. They detected kilos of RDX, many grenades, detonators, ball bearings and shrapnel from various locations. This action itself saved so many lives from being claimed by the terrorists.

The list goes on about the stories of bravery at the time of these attacks. Many of us are still braving through it, trying to come to terms that we lost a loved one, a permanent injury during the attack that changed our lives forever. Let us pay homage to the heroes and bravehearts who lost their lives saving ours. We cannot and we won’t forget their sacrifices. We’ve come out of it much stronger and united.

Narayani Shastri roped in to replace Amita Khopkar in KarnSangini

Television actress Narayani Shastri has been roped in to replace actress Amita Khopkar for the role of Karn's mother in mythological show "KarnSangini".

Narayani said in a statement: "It's true that I am going to be a part of 'KarnSangini'. She (the character) is docile and doting yet strong. The character is neither negative nor positive and is somewhere in-between. I am really thrilled to play Radha's character as I like playing grey characters."

On her exit from the show, Amita said she respects the makers' decision.

"I was informed well in advance about the replacement and wasn't kept in the dark. Makers don't have any problem with my acting but it was their call to replace Radha's character and I respect it. I don't have an issue with the development, as it would be for the betterment of the show and it's a part and parcel of this profession," added Amita.

"KarnSangini", which also features actors like Aashim Gulati and Sayantani Ghosh, airs on StarPlus.

2.0 is made on a mammoth budget of Rs 600 crore and close to half of the budget was allocated towards the graphics works in the film. During the trailer launch of 2.0, superstar Rajinikanth had revealed that the film went on floors with an initial budget of Rs 300 crore but they had to pump in more and it shot up to Rs 600 crore eventually. Rajinikanth also lauded the producer Subashkaran of Lyca Productions for never doubting the abilities of director Shankar and investing graciously in the film.

When Kapil Sharma Was Asked To ‘Shut Up’ By Fiancé Ginni Chatrath’s Father

When two people are in love and ready to take their relationship to the next level, the first thing that may worry them is getting the approval of the parents, especially in India. This may sound like a scene out of a Bollywood film but it’s the current situation with Kapil Sharma and his fiancé Ginni Chatrath. In an interview with Bombay Times, Kapil revealed that his marriage proposal was rejected by Ginni’s father initially.

Kapil narrates the incident and reveals the story. When Kapil had started doing well in his career, his mother had taken his marriage proposal to Ginni’s family. Kapil then revealed that her father had said ‘shut up’ to him and rejected his proposal. Since he didn’t see anything working out here, he got busy with his work and Ginni started pursuing MBA in finance to keep avoiding the other marriage proposals. Kapil, who had settled in Mumbai, was busy with work and there was a lot happening in his life. Throughout, Ginni never disturbed him or called him and Kapil wondered how anyone could have so much patience. That’s when he then though it was the right time to get married, and on 24th December 2016, he called Ginni and told her that he wanted to marry her.

In an interview with IANS, Kapil had revealed that he will be tying the knot with Ginni on 12^th of December in Jalandhar and will be hosting a grand reception for friends in Mumbai on the 14^th of December.

All’s well that ends well and we are glad that they are finally getting married!

Radhika Apte: PL Deshpande was such a great storyteller that they would draw you into it

Actress Radhika Apte says storytelling has been a special part of her life since her growing up days. She says she used to listen to Marathi writer and humorist Purushottam Laxman Deshpande on cassettes.

Radhika was present at the launch of Audible.in, a dedicated service for Indians by Audible, the world's leading seller and producer of downloadable audiobooks and other spoken-word content. She, along with actors Rajkummar Rao and Kalki Koechlin, have come together for the first time to narrate the Audible adaptation of the novel.

On the experience, Radhika told IANS: "I've transitioned from an audible listener to an audible narrator with this project, which is the highlight for me. Storytelling has been such a special part of my growing up years. I remember the time when I used to listen to Purushottam Laxman Deshpande on cassettes. He was such a great storyteller, could really draw you into a great story and it's great to know that Audible too just does that."

Radhika, Rajkummar and Kalki came together for the first time to narrate the Audible adaptation of Hussain Zaidi's novel "Mafia Queens of Mumbai".

"My mama (maternal uncle) used to live in Mumbai and tell me stories of gang lords but we never heard about the women of the underworld, and 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai' gave me that opportunity."

She hopes she would come together with Rajkummar and Kalki for an on-screen project too.

"I hope so soon! They are truly great actors," she said.

‘It is only natural for people to find a shadow of my father in me,’ says Sunny Deol

National Award-winning actor Sunny Deol says the art of acting cannot be learned in classrooms and that it comes from observations in real life.

Known for his performance in iconic films like "Border", "Gadar - Ek Prem Katha", "The Hero: Love Story of a Spy", "Yamla Pagla Deewana" and "Ghayal", Sunny told IANS here: "You cannot learn acting... The core of it, cannot be learned in a classroom. You learn acting from observation, from exploration as you progress in life."

"Of course when it comes to staging a performance, there are certain technicalities that can be taught, but one has to articulate and use their voice and body in a manner to perform because stage performance is live. When it comes to cinema, a camera can capture the finest movement of your eyes through close-ups. So as a film actor, one has to internalize the character to deliver it on-screen," added Sunny, who went to a film school in London in his younger days and attended classes in theatre and performing arts.

Asked if being the son of yesteryears superstar Dharmendra, acting was a natural choice for him, Sunny said: "As a child, I had problems in reading and writing. but my IQ and reflex were very good. Therefore, though in the class I was not a great student, I used to score pass marks. I was rather very good at sports and other co-curricular activities."

"After a certain age, of course, we all had to decide on our career and that is when I realized that acting and performance is my true calling. More than attending an acting class, I went abroad for my self-discovery which was not possible otherwise in India."

"It is only natural for people to find a shadow of my father in me... But as an individual, to find my own self I had to go away from all these," he added.

Having started his career in 1983 with "Betaab", Sunny won National Awards for films like "Ghayal" in 1990 and "Damini - Lightning" in 1993. Known primarily for his action-oriented performances, he also bagged several awards for films.

Sunny's younger brother Bobby Deol and cousin Abhay Deol are actors too.

Asked that being the elder in the family, how did he deal with the pressure as a youngster initially, Sunny said: "Of course I was aware of the pressure being the son of a superstar like my dad, but I never let the pressure pounce on me to find my signature as an actor.

"One cannot grow under pressure, so I was never a youngster who was bothered about how the world is going to perceive me. My theory is, 'I want to present myself the way I am, then let the world decide how they what to take it.'"

So, is he now teaching the same to his elder son Karan, who is gearing up to make his Bollywood debut with "Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas"

"Look, I know that he is going to face the same pressure... The expectation is high from him and that is again, very natural. But the best way to grow in life is keeping the pressure and others' expectation aside and focus on skill," said the 62-year-old actor.

‘Rohit respects the fact that I have a boyfriend outside the house and he never crossed his limits,’ says Srishty Rode

Television actress and ex "Bigg Boss 12" contestant Srishty Rode, the latest to be evicted out of the reality show, says there's no love angle between her and co-contestant Rohit Suchanti.

Their chemistry on the show hinted at a possible romance but Srishty has denied it.

"Rohit and I are just good friends. I have a boyfriend (actor Manish Naggdev) and I love him a lot. Rohit respects the fact that I have a boyfriend outside the house and he never crossed his limits.

"I have had a lot of fun with him in the house. And I would like to maintain my friendship with him," Srishty told IANS over the phone from Mumbai.

After surviving in "Bigg Boss" for over two months, the "Yeh Ishq Haaye" actress got evicted from the show on Sunday.

For Srishty, her eviction was "shocking".

"It was one of the best experiences of my life... playing the game all alone made me strong and helped me in enhancing my confidence. It was a wonderful experience. There were moments of highs and lows, which I will always cherish and remember in my life."

Srishty also spoke about former cricketer and "Bigg Boss 12" co-contestant S. Sreesanth. They hit it off well initially but then things between them took an ugly turn.

"I failed to understand Sreesanth in the house... My equation with him was always changing. I don't want to judge him on the basis of the show. I want to meet him outside the house and want to see how he is as a person outside the house."

On how did she find superstar Salman Khan as a host, Srishty said: "I love Salman. I never felt that he was ever biased. It was fun with him every weekend."

She said she would like to see actor Karanvir Bohra, her close friend, as the show's winner.

It is sad but true, Bepannaah is going off air in a few days. Though not a hit on the BARC charts, Bepannaah did extremely well online with the younger crowd. The show will end with the reunion of Aditya (Harshad Chopda) and Zoya (Jennifer Winget). We will see that Zoya returns back to the Hooda house as Anjana's (Parineeta Borthakur) nurse. Aditya, who is out of jail has become a ruthless and successful businessman and is devoted to his mom whom he has brought home from a sanatorium.

Sreekar Prasad on Mani Ratnam: He always continues to surprise and that is the factor which excites me to work with him

National Award-winning film editor Sreekar Prasad has worked with Mani Ratnam for two decades. He says the popular filmmaker is an enigma as it's not easy to "predict him".

They had teamed up for hit movies like "O Kadhal Kanmani", "Guru", "Yuva" and most recently for the Tamil film "Chekka Chivantha Vaanam".

"Mani Ratnam is an enigma as you cannot predict him. He always continues to surprise and that is the factor which excites me to work with him. Working with him for two decades has been a learning and 'unlearning' experience. Hopefully, I have contributed to his vision and filmmaking in all the films that we have been associated together," Prasad told IANS.

"But I like 'Kannathil Muthamittal' more because it was a very delicate story to tell amidst a war-like situation. I thought it was a very genuine and difficult film to do," he said.

Mahesh Babu is shooting for Maharshi, which is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Maharshi is slated to release in April 2019. Pooja Hegde will be seen romancing Mahesh Babu in Maharshi and it will be the actress first film alongside the superstar.

STR is shooting for Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, which is the official remake of Telugu film, Attarintiki Daredhi, that starred Power Star, Pawan Kalyan. Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven is being directed by Sundar C and bankrolled by Lyca productions. Actress Katherine Heigl says she is thrilled about turning 40.

Heigl celebrated her 40th birthday on November 24 and commemorated the occasion with an introspective social media post.

The actress shared photographs from her birthday soiree. Standing in front of huge silvery balloons of the number 40, she grinned as she posed in a sweater and jeans, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"Well... I am officially 40 years old. I know you are going to think I'm full of it but the truth is... I'm pretty damn thrilled to be 40," she began her post. A candlelit room provided a festive backdrop for the former "Grey's Anatomy" star's bash.

"For one thing, as my mother always says 'Getting older is better than the alternative'. Too true mother, too true," she wrote.

EXCLUSIVE! Not Virendra Saxena, Rakesh Bedi to join Pranavv-Riddhima in Pati Patni Aur Talak?

BollywoodLife was the first to break the news that producer Mahir Khan's upcoming show on Star Plus will feature Pranavv Misshra and Riddhima Pandit in the lead. After a brief hiatus, Misshra will return to the TV space, along with Riddhima. Titled Pati Patni Aur Talak, the show will be a courtroom drama. BollywoodLife has got the latest updates from the upcoming daily soap. According to certain reports, Virendra Saxena is going to play a judge in the show. However, a reliable source from the show informs us that Saxena is not the one finalised for the particular character. "Although Saxena was in contention he is not finalised for the show," the source reveals. Instead, makers have opted for a popular and veteran name. Rakesh Bedi, a maverick in the sitcom genre, is the one to essay the said character of a judge. "Bedi was one of the first choices to play the character, however, the channel was looking out for more options, now they have finalised him," says the source.

Bedi has been an expert when it comes to sitcoms. Recently, the actor was seen in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai!. Not just Bedi, the makers have also zeroed in on other actors that will make the ensemble casts. Ace comedian Naveen Prabhakar will return to TV screens after a long time. He will be a part of the regular cast. Apart from him, Jagjit Singh, Rajkumar Kanojia of Balika Vadhu fame, and Neha Kaul are also going to be part of the series. Interestingly, Kaul was also a part of Mahir's previous project, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant which featured Pandit in the lead.

According to our information, the show will go on air from mid-January next year. The production will soon go on floors.

We couldn't connect to Mahir to get a confirmation.

The concept of the show revolves around a couple (played by Misshra and Pandit) who also happen to be lawyers and their tryst in the courtroom while fighting against each other.

Bigg Boss 12: Srishty Rode Opens Up About Her Link-Up With Rohit Suchanti

Srishty Rode got evicted from the Bigg Boss house last night. Not many were expecting her eviction as she was a rather strong contender and, in my opinion, competing against far weaker contestants. However, now that she is out, the TV actress broke her silence on her alleged love affair with fellow housemate, Rohit Suchanti, amongst other things.

She told SpotboyE:

I don’t know what his intentions were. But I would really like to accept the fact that I have found a very nice and caring friend. He supported me a lot when I needed him. So, I appreciate this side of him.

She also spoke to IANS and denied any sort of romantic inclination with Rohit:

Rohit and I are just good friends. I have a boyfriend (actor Manish Naggdev) and I love him a lot. Rohit respects the fact that I have a boyfriend outside the house and he never crossed his limits.

There were also some comments that Srishty’s is imitating Hina Khan’s style sense from Bigg Boss 11, which the actress immediately dismissed. She told Spotboy E:

Why do you think any actress from the same industry would like to copy someone? If you see Megha and Jasleen, they also have the same collection of nightsuits. So, are they trying to copy me? Or anyone in next season may also come with the same kind of dresses and nightsuits, then people will say “Srishty ko copy kar rahi hai”. Just because coincidentally, I was wearing similar nightsuits it doesn’t mean I was copying Hina Khan. This is not fair, I think. Everyone works hard on themselves aur kisi ke hardwork ka credit kisi aur ko dena is not fair. Hina has worked hard for her looks. I have worked hard for my looks.

Reportedly, Srishty also felt that Shoaib Ibrahim‘s open letter, which condemned her famous “Saiyaan Bhaiya” comment, was unnecessary as she had already apologised to Dipika Kakar for saying it. And lastly, the Saraswatichandra actress felt that Jasleen Matharu should have been evicted instead of her.

The reason?

Because she is doing nothing inside other than unnecessarily screaming and poking her nose in others matters.

Time and again, they have proven to us that true love does exist. A while ago, Tahira had shared the news about being diagnosed with cancer through an Instagram post. It broke our hearts, but now, the good news is that Tahira has resumed work after she underwent a prophylactic mastectomy. Tahira shared a selfie on Twitter and conveyed that she has started working again. This was a proud moment for Ayushmann and he made sure to say that out loud.

'Shut up!' That was Ginni Chatrath's father's reaction when Kapil Sharma proposed marriage

Kapil Sharma is finally out and about. We feel really happy to see him recover from whatever emotional issues he must have been facing post the mid-air fight with Sunil Grover. Everything had come crumbling down for the actor-comedian since that episode on the plane. Even his fans went against him but the actor has managed to leave all that in the past. He is not only returning to Sony TV with his show but is also getting married to girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12. But it wasn't as smooth as it sounds. In a conversation with Bombay Times, along with Ginni, Kapil revealed how her father rejected him.

Kapil revealed, "When I started earning well, my mother took my marriage proposal to her family, which got rejected. Inke papaji ne bade pyaar se bola, Shut up (laughs!). Thereafter, I got busy with work, while she pursued MBA in Finance. I guess, she kept studying to avoid marriage proposals. At that time, I was settled in Mumbai, and so much was happening in my life. I then realised ki itna kuchh hua hai, but isne kabhi mujhe disturb n ahi kiya. Itna patience kisi mein nahi dekha maine. Jab ye sab gadbad chal rahi thi, that s when I decided that it was the right time to marry. It was my decision, because ye toh padhai kare hi jaa rahi thi (laughs!). So, on December 24, 2016, I called and told Ginni that I wanted to marry her. My mother has always been fond of her."

Ginni also revealed how she supported him when he was down and out. "I supported him in every phase. I was with him day and night, making sure that he was comfortable. God was with me and being patient paid off," Ginni reveals.

[PHOTOS] Fans and friends bid a tearful adieu to Ambareesh at his funeral in Bengaluru today

Veteran Kannada actor Ambareesh passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at a private hospital in Bengaluru after he suffered a cardiac arrest. The final rites of Ambareesh were performed today in Kanteerava Studios in Bengaluru and the film fraternity bid a tearful goodbye to the actor. A procession was taken out in Bengaluru today and admirers of Ambareesh paid their last respects to the versatile actor. Fans and well-wishers of Ambareesh took part in the procession and were present for the final rites too. Photos from the funeral are coming our way now and fans are also posting it on social media with heartfelt messages for the actor.

Bigg Boss 12, day 71 preview: Captain Surbhi Rana gets the power to nominate and all equations change

Bigg Boss 12 has entered the 11th week and is slowly reaching a crucial phase. The contestants are quite aware of the fact that the game and are playing their game earnestly in order to win the show. Strategies are being made, and friends are turning into foes because everyone s intention is to win the show.

The week in the Bigg Boss house begins on an intimidating note because of the nominations for the week. To create a sense of thrill among the contestants, Bigg Boss announces a LOC task for the nomination process. Surbhi Rana, being the captain of the house, was given the authority to nominate contestants of her choice. The house was divided into two teams one with Dipika, Jasleen, Deepak and Romil and the other with Karanvir, Sree Santh, Somi and Rohit. The garden area was separated into halves and both the teams had to be within their LOCs. Detonators and bunks with contestant s name were spread around the garden area. After every explosion, Surbhi had to take the name of the contestant she wanted to nominate along with a reason. Post that she had to use the detonator to blow up the bunk of that contestant.

Another twist in the task was that if Surbhi nominated three contestants from one team, then that entire team would be nominated for this week and the other would be saved. Megha was already nominated by Bigg Boss last week for her misbehavior with Deepak.

Which team will Surbhi choose and who all will join Megha for this week s elimination?

The Bigg Boss house tends to bring out the most vulnerable sides of the contestants. The latest season is no different as we’ve already seen quite a few breakdowns of the contestants. The latest preview from the next episode also hints towards one and this time it is Sreesanth who’s got everyone’s attention.

The former cricketer can be seen crying his eye out as he opens up about the match-fixing accusations against him. He tells the housemates that even though they said there was proof against him, he was innocent. He can also be seen saying that he tried to kill himself and couldn’t control his tears. The housemates try to console Sreesanth, but what led to this conversation remains to be seen in tonight’s episode.

UNSEEN PICTURE! Deepika Padukone slips into a velvet pant-suit at Ranveer Singh's sister Ritika Bhavnani's bash and it's all of us after a hard night of partying

Regal is out, quirk is on! At least that's what we thought when we saw Ranveer Sigh and Deepika Padukone's outfit for sister Ritika Bhavnani's party. From Ranveer's trippy outfit that glowed in dark to DP wearing another stunning Sabyasachi creation in red that gave us Frida Kahlo vibes with her braided hairdo and floral tiara, it was a night to remember. Earlier this week, they looked divine for their Bengaluru reception that took place at The Leela Palace hotel. While Ranveer opted for a fine black sherwani by Rohit Bal, DP kept it classy and elegance with her golden saree by mom Ujjala Padukone and exquisite Sabyasachi jewels. Not to mention, her big bright smile that she wore as an ornament. They looked every bit the quintessential couple. But coming back to her hatke look from the last bash, it will forever be etched in our minds. In fact, another picture with another look of the newest bride in town has cropped up and per usual, we are in awe. DP can be seen swaying in a pant-blazer piece, holding a cocktail glass and it's probably the most chilled out we have seen her in a while. Probably, the lehenga was just too heavy to do Bollywood thumkas in. Whatever may be the reason, it's the breezy factor that works well. See the picture here.

Earlier, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, during her filmy reception, had changed into a loose kaftan and taught to-be-brides a thing or two. Apart from the one in Bengaluru, there are two more reception parties that will happen in Mumbai. One is being organised at The Grand Hyatt on November 28 and the couple will also throw a big bash for Bollywood biggies and friends from the fraternity at a grand filmy reception on December 1.

KGF actor Yash opens up about acting in Rajamouli's multistarrer along with Ram Charan and Jr NTR

Kannada actor Yash is gearing up for the biggest release of his career, KGF, which is slated to be released on December 21, 2018. Directed by Prashant Neel, KGF is a story set in the '80s and has Yash playing an intense role. And it is now being speculated that Yash has been signed on to play a key role in Rajamouli's upcoming multistarrer with Ram Charan and Jr NTR. Reports reveal that Rajamouli is planning to rope in the Kannada star for a pivotal role in the film, which went on floors recently. However, Yash has now clarified about the news and posted a message on his Twitter page in Kannada. Yash clarified that he has not been contacted by anyone from Rajamouli's team for RRR. Yash also clarified that his focus is presently on KGF, which is releasing in December.

KGF is releasing in Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, making it the biggest release of Yash's career. The trailer of KGF was released recently and received a thunderous response from the audience in all languages. KGF is being released by Farhan Akthar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner Excel Entertainments. KGF was shot in Hindi directly and will mark Yash's debut in Bollywood.

On the other hand, RRR is the biggest multistarrer in South Indian cinema and is the first association of top stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Directed by Rajamouli, RRR is the temporary title of the film.

Ayushmann Khurranaa BEATS Varun Dhawan at the box office - here's how

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai Ho has now become the biggest hit of the year if we are considering all small films like Raazi, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Stree. It is currently the sixth highest grosser of the year after Sanju, Padmaavat, Race 3, Baaghi 2 and Thugs of Hindostan. Apart from the domestic circuit, it has also performed phenomenally well in the international markets. The film has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark and currently stands with the grand total of Rs 217 crore.

With this collection, the film has surpassed the lifetime business of Varun Dhawan's Judwaa 2 (Rs 216.62 crore). Looking at the current scenario, we are expecting the film to end its theatrical run around Rs 225 crore. Badhaai Ho has turned out to be the most profitable venture of the year thanks to its smart economics. Talking about the great response, Ayushmann earlier said, "It is an overwhelming and a humbling moment for me as an actor. I think I have been lucky enough in my journey to have got the right films and I'm thankful to all my filmmakers for believing in me." Talking about his script-selection process, he said, "It gives me more confidence that my script selection is right. I've always made my own decisions and selected a script on my own conviction. It's a great validation and it's a great boost to my confidence as far as choosing the scripts is concerned."
