2018 is all set to end in the next 15 days. Te year has been pretty good for Bollywood as we saw many content-driven films garnering a good response in cinema halls. If we compare this to 2017, the business of 2018 is almost double, which is a great sign for the film. The year has been special for one more reasons than one. One such reason is that many actors, including legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth got the first Rs 100 crore film of their career this year. Shahid Kapoor
Surprisingly, Shahid Kapoor, who had made his debut on the silver screen in 2003 with Ishq Vishk, delivered his first Rs 100 crore film this year with Padmaavat. It took 15 years for the actor to achieve this feat but as they say, patience is the key to success. His film not only crossed the Rs 100 crore mark but also became the sixth Bollywood film to enter the Rs 300 crore club at the box office.
Tiger Shroff
Baaghi 2 has turned out to be a turning point for Tiger Shroff's career. After delivering two back-to-back duds, the action star made a great comeback with the second installment of the Baaghi franchise and delivered the biggest hit of his career. The film went on to earn over Rs 165 crore at the box office
Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Sunny Singh
The stupendous trio of Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh had tasted success with Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 but with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, they surprised everyone by earning over Rs 100 crore in the domestic market. In fact, it performed better than many Bollywood biggies like Raid and Pad Man at the box office. SKTKS became their highest grosser of all time.
Vicky Kaushal
Vicky had garnered critical acclaim and accolades for his brilliant performances in films like Masaan, Raman Raghav 2.0 and Zubaan. But the actor tasted his first commercial success with the recent release, Raazi. The spy-thriller not only turned out to be his highest grosser but also his first Rs 100 crore film. His next film, Sanju, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the titular character also fetched Rs 342 crore.
Rajkummar Rao
The versatile and national-award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao has always been considered the face of parallel and art cinema. But with Stree, the actor proved that he is a commercially viable star as well. The horror-comedy was loved by the audience and the moderate budget film went on to earn over Rs 125 crore at the ticket windows.
Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann is one of those actors who are known for choosing out-of-the-box scripts with a proper mix of entertaining elements and films like Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Shubh Mangal Savdhan and AndhaDhun are classic examples of that. But his recent film, Badhaai Ho turned out to be the most surprising hit of the year. The entertaining family drama got repeat value in cinema halls and earned over Rs 135 crore in its theatrical run.
Amitabh Bachchan
The Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, who is working in the industry for almost five decades, has got his first Rs 100 crore film this year with Thugs of Hindostan. Though we can't overlook the fact that it was box office disaster due to its huge budget.
Rajinikanth
Thalaivar of the Entertainment world, Rajinikanth has set new benchmarks in the Tamil industry but has not earned big bucks when we consider Bollywood. But with 2.0, the sci-fi venture shattered many records and is now inching towards earning Rs 200 crore at the box office.
