Veteran producer Antony Perumbavoor has been a long-time associate of Malayalam top stars Mohanlal and Mammootty who share a very special band. Perumbavoor has now produced Mohanlal s latest release Odiyan which is out in cinema halls now. In an interview with a leading Malayalam tabloid, Antony reveals the kind of bonding the pillars of Malayalam cinema Mohanlal and Mammootty share and how the two have stood by each other s side during tough times.
"It was Lal sir who said that all of us should visit Mammookka at his home to seek blessings before the release of the maiden movie of Pranav Lal. It would be a big celebration at both the houses if one of them is visiting the other. None has stood with us and supported us like Mammookka did during all the hard times. We definitely feel strong and courageous, knowing that Mammookka is there for us on the other side. I know how honestly he had even helped me grow in the industry," Perumbavoor told Manorama in an interview.
Speaking about how Mohanlal takes care of people around him, Perumbavoor says, "He shares special bonds with all of them. Innocent is respected like an elder member of the family, and at times he will be like a dear friend. When he told about his illness, Lal sir gave him confidence and support. For days, after that, Lal sir had only thought about making good treatment available for Innocent." [sic]
