Sara Ali Khan impressed the audience with her Bollywood debut film, Kedarnath, directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Though the film received a mixed response from the critics and the public, the debutante won everyone's hearts. And probably this is the reason why people are longing to see the 23-year-old s performance in Rohit Shetty's cop drama, Simmba. While we already know that the industry and audience are bowled over by Sara's stint in her debut film, it is her mother Amrita Singh's reaction that we had been eagerly waiting for.
Needless to say, Amrita's reaction to Sara's film was the best of all. In a conversation with DNA, Sara revealed that her mother was in tears when she saw the climax of Kedarnath. "Mom had heard the narration and she had also seen some rushes. But she still cried in the climax, so that was a big one for me," she said. The pretty actress even revealed how papa Saif reacted saying, "My father calls me every day, saying I loved your work , talking about one scene or the other and I m so proud of you . Every day, more and more people are watching the film and messaging my parents. And quite naturally, they are excited. It s just amazing. I m really enjoying this moment." The actress has made her parents proud with her first outing itself and we are pretty sure she won't disappoint them with Simmba either.
Talking about her next, Sara stars opposite Ranveer Singh in the film. Bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the cop-drama is all set to hit the 70 mm screens on December 28.
