Tiger Shroff opens up about doing a Hollywood film - read deets

In a career span of just four years, Tiger Shroff who made his debut with Heropanti has managed to impress the audience with his acting prowess and dancing skills too. For the next two years, the actor has interesting projects lined up which include Rambo, Student Of The Year 2, an untitled film with Hrithik Roshan and Baaghi 3. Not only that, rumours about the actor doing a Hollywood film have turned out to be true as well. In case you missed it, a few months ago, a source close to Mumbai Mirror had revealed that Mortal Kombat series producer, Lawrence Kasanoff met Tiger in Mumbai for the final discussions of the project at a suburban hotel.

The latest development on the same is that Tiger himself has confirmed about his Hollywood debut. Talking to the same tabloid, the actor said that he hasn't signed the film yet but, "I am in talks. It is too early to reveal more details." If things fall in place, we may see another B-Town actor making our nation proud in the West.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old actor's upcoming film Student Of The Year 2 directed by Punit Malhotra, is scheduled to release on May 10, 2019. Tiger will be seen romancing debutantes Tara Sutaria and Chunkey Panday's daughter, Ananya in the film bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

'It's very important for kids to feel like anything is possible,' says Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse actor Shameik Moore

"Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse" Shameik Moore says he had no support from his teachers while pursuing his dream of acting.

The Georgia-born actor is currently starring as Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales in "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" movie -- which has been getting a positive response. Sony Pictures Entertainment India brought the film into India. It released on December 14.

"When I was in seventh grade my teacher straight up told me I would not be an actor. But my peers, like the kids that saw me dancing and on TV when I was little, they supported me. It's very important for kids to feel like anything is possible when they put their mind to it," mirror.co.uk quoted Moore as saying.

"If you're passionate about it, following that path might lead you to what you're really supposed to do," he added.

Moore gained his first acting role at the age of 16 in "Reed Between the Lines", just months after teachers at Lithonia High School told him he would never make the break.

He credits his parents and family for supporting him in his dream career. He also made a name for himself winning freestyle dance battles and uploading singing and dancing videos on his own YouTube channel Meak's World' leading to a significant online following.

Now, Moore, 23, is recognised as a singer, rapper and actor.

'Oh!' That's how Sachin Tendulkar reacted when Ranveer Singh revealed he is going to replicate Kapil Dev's bowling action in '83 - watch video

Ranveer Singh is currently busy with the promotions and release of Simmba. However, in between all that madness, he s already thinking about the filming of his upcoming movie 83. The cricket movie based on the World Cup 1983, which saw the Indian cricket team make history by bringing home the World Cup for the first time, and it sees Ranveer portraying the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. While it is going to be a huge task to mimic the cricketer his style of talking, walking and body language the biggest concern is going to be replicating Kapil s bowling style.

And that isn t just Ranveer s concern. The actor recently appeared on The Actors Roundtable 2018 With Rajeev Masand and shared that Sachin Tendulkar also expressed his concern. Ranveer told the roundtable comprising of Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkumar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi that Ranveer met Sachin in London s Lord's Cricket Ground one day and discussed 83 with him.

I went to Lord s to watch a test match. It rained all day and there was not a single ball bowled, he said before adding, In the box, Sachin Tendulkar happened to come. And I was lucky enough to get some time with him. I was telling him I am doing this movie (83) and I m playing Kapil Dev. Sir, I am going to do all the homework and I am going to get the look, accent and everything. But I think the most difficult part will be the bowling.

Ranveer then re-enacted Sachin s reaction for the camera. The actor said, He was like, Oh, you re going to do the bowling yourself? and I said, Ya, sir. And he was like, Oh. Adding that Sachin gave him a lot of side glances.

He also thinks it is going to be damn tough, Ranveer said. The actor also shared that many other cricketers have also expressed their concerns.

Dear Sachin, we understand your concern but hey, Ranveer is learning the art of bowling from the master himself. Yes, the Simmba actor will train for the role under the guidance of Kapil himself. The cricketer will be turning coach for Ranveer for the biopic so we are sure that Ranveer will leave no stone unturned to master the skills and attributes of Kapil.

Looks like everything is not well between Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 lead actors Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan. Speculations about their differences started doing the rounds after Parth unfollowed Fernandes on Instagram. Rajinikanth-starrer Petta gets censor clearance but ONLY after multiple cuts and mutes – deets here

After 2.0, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Petta which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Said to be a commercial potboiler, Petta has a stellar star cast and is gearing up for release during Pongal 2019. The film completed its censor formalities but is said to have received a clearance from the censor board only after multiple cuts and mutes. According to the CBF website, the makers of Petta have been advised to mute few words in the film which are considered profanity. The censor report also suggests that the run time of Petta is two hours and fifty-one minutes. Petta will be the longest Rajinikanth film in the recent past with such a running time.

Besides Rajinikanth, Petta also stars Trisha Krishnan, Simran and Vijay Sethupathi in key roles and will be the first time for all these actors to share screen space with the superstar. Petta will also feature Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui marking his debut down South in Tamil. The music of Petta is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and the album is already out now. The music album of Petta is already a hit number and is being loving by fans of Rajinikanth.

Petta will clash with Ajith s Viswasam and both the films are expected to be released on the same date, January 10^th, 2018. However, the makers of both these films are yet to confirm the release date of their respective films.

It is officially confirmed now that the two will team up for the first time and the actor himself confirmed it via his social networking pages. Ram Pothineni seems quite kicked about the project which will go on floors in February 2019 and may hit the cinema halls in May 2019. Ram Pothineni took to his social networking pages and posted a picture along with Puri Jagannadh and wrote "When you re bored playing the good guy...you meet this Bad Boy!! Finally!#RaPo17 with one of my all time fav @purijagan garu! Kicked about this BOLD WILD FILM! #Love -R.A.P.O" showing how excited he is about the film. Also seen in the picture is actress Charmmee Kaur who manages the production works of Puri Jagannadh's production house Puri Connects. This yet untitled film will be Ram s 17^th film in his career. The makers are yet to zero in on the female lead actor for the film.

Ram Pothineni was last seen in Hello Guru Prema Kosame which was directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina. Hello Guru Prema Kosame also starred Anupama Parameswaran and Pranitha Subhash in the lead roles. The film had a decent run at the box office and turned out to be an average affair. On the other hand, Puri Jagannadh last directed Mehbooba which featured his son Akash in the lead role. Mehbooba failed to impress the audience and eventually turned out to be a dud at the box office.

Zero released on December 21 and became the big Christmas release of this year. Well, it worked for the film! Post registering underwhelming numbers on Day 1 which plummeted further the next day, Shah Rukh Khan's film finally saw a good growth yesterday thanks to the Christmas holiday. It managed to add a good Rs 12.75 crore to its kitty to bring the total to Rs 81.32 crore. We have told you earlier how Christmas is the most lucrative period for any film. The holidays last for many days which only benefit the films that release around that time. Tiger Zinda Hai, Dangal, P.K., 3 Idiots... all have benefitted from it but Zero may not join the gang. All these films mentioned above had favourable reviews and word of mouth going their way while Shah Rukh's film received mixed critics reaction and disappointing response from the audience as well. This is the first Christmas for Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas after they got married in November this year. Priyanka flew to LA to be with her family and ring in the first Christmas with her in-laws. And as obvious as it may be, the newlyweds will ring in the New Year which will be their first together. Taimur had a great South African vacation as a part of his birthday treat and returned to India all happy and cute. In fact, he seemed really happy to be back and meet his regulars, the media! He even calls them that. Yesterday, as is tradition, the Kapoors got together for the Christmas lunch and so did Taimur. Janhvi Kapoor's debut kicked off on a favourable note. Dhadak is one of the successful films of this year. In fact, it is one of the best earners among movies that had newcomers in the lead. The fact that it was the remake of Marathi hit Sairat also worked in its favour tremendously. We thought her next would be Karan Johar's Takht where she plays a key role but it seems the lady kickstarted the Gunjan Saxena biopic instead. She plays India's first female combat aviator who was posted in Kargil during the 1999 war. Recently, she was spotted at a studio in full getup, ready to make her flight to triumph. A source had informed Mumbai Mirror earlier, "Janhvi will start prep in the next few days with basic flying lessons and sessions on how the Indian Air Force works and lives. She spent time with Gunjan a few months ago and will be meeting her again to understand her story better." Gunjan had put her life on the line to rescue injured soldiers and bring them to safety. She and her fellow lieutenant Srividya Rajan had to even ward off enemy fires to do their duty. Gunjan was awarded the Shaurya Vir and became the first woman to receive the honour.

The film was expected to hit the floor next year but it seems Janhvi wanted to start it sooner.

What! #RRR: Rajamouli's multi-starrer with Ram Charan-Jr NTR to have THIS subject as the backdrop?

There are numerous theories doing rounds about RRR which is Rajamouli's ambitious directorial and features Tollywood top stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles. The shooting of the film went on floor recently and is aimed to be released in 2020, reports reveal. While few reports suggest that the film would be a period drama and will have the two stars playing brothers, other reports reveal that the film will be a pre-independence era story with one of the stars playing a police officer in the premise. However, emerging reports have a different perspective to the story of RRR. News has it that the Jr NTR and Ram Charan will be seen playing friends in the 1930s and will have a reincarnation theme to it. Reportedly, Ram Charan and Jr NTR will take birth again in the 2000s and will turn out to be friends again. While this may sound like the premise of Rajamouli's 2007 blockbuster hit Magadheera, it is being reported that the narrative of this story would be totally different.

The film is yet to be titled and is being referred to as RRR (Rajamouli-Ram Charan-Rama Rao), the lead trio. The makers are yet to reveal the female lead actresses in the film, but reports reveal that Keerthy Suresh may be signed on to play one of the leading ladies which is yet to be officially confirmed. The film is said to have minimal VFX works when compared to the mammoth Baahubali since the premise would have a pre-independence backstory as well.

Tiger Shroff is prepping up for his upcoming action-drama Baaghi 3 which will be directed by Ahmed Khan and bankrolled by Sajid Nadaidwala. The Baaghi franchise has been a successful outing for the trio and they will look to continue the streak with the third part of the franchise. Tiger Shroff reveals what, according to him, is that one element in Baaghi 3 that can make it another successful outing. "I'm blessed to have a strong producer like Sajid Nadiadwala and a director like Ahmed Khan who go all out in terms of scale. The USP of the franchise is action and not nonsensical stuff but action with an emotional core. And we want to get bigger and better with every film," Tiger Shroff told Mumbai Mirror in an interview. Speaking about if he too joins the team to take a call on the script selection and says, "I don't have much of a say in that. Sajid sir, Ahmed sir and the writers are working day and night to formulate the best route for Baaghi 3."

WTF Wednesday: Hey Yo Yo Honey Singh, with ridiculous lyrics and recycled tunes, your new single Makhna just took us 10 years back

Let me start this piece by stating the obvious. Honey Singh, we are about to enter 2019, and your latest song Makhna has taken us 10 years back. We all know that Yo Yo Honey Singh is known for songs that objectify women, case in point is Blue Eyes. The singer and rapper has been away from the limelight for a long time. And now, after a brief hiatus, he has returned with a single titled Makhna. And after listening to the song, we are only wondering why? I have been guilty of liking Honey Singh's songs, however, this one is really distasteful in so many ways. Firstly, listening to the song itself gave me a headache. After popping medicines for the same, I started analysing the lyrics of the song. And trust me, I felt like I have gone back to the days when objectifying women was not a big deal. However, this song comes right after the empowering #MeToo movement, which gave voice to many women in the country.

Now, if you are thinking as to why to make such a big deal out of the song, let me tell you why. Here are the lyrics of the song... 'Main hoon womanizer, mujhe akele mein mat mil
