NickYanka wedding: It took 1,826 hours to make Priyanka Chopra's dreamy white gown that featured a 75-foot long train

The wedding pictures of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are enough indication that it was one big dreamy affair. For their Christian wedding, the duo went to the designer who played the cupid in their love story. Yes, we are talking about Ralph Lauren. The popular personality worked closely with PeeCee to design her wedding gown and delivered a bridal outfit that bowled our desi girl over. The actress told People magazine, For the Western wedding, we had been talking to a bunch of incredible designers, but ultimately when Ralph Lauren approached us, I learned that Ralph has only designed three wedding dresses in 50 years one for his daughter, his daughter-in-law, and his niece, Chopra explains, adding, I was blown away.

The actress further said, When we went in for the sketch presentation, they created exactly what I envisioned for myself on my wedding day and I said, Yes to the dress. According to the brand, the embroidery of outfit took 1826 hours to complete. Well, that's the amount of time it takes to deliver a dress so perfect. Apart from us and PeeCee, the outfit also impressed Priyanka's friend and stylist Mimi Cuttrell. She praised the design and said, I would not have changed a thing about this dress. The Ralph Lauren team was an incredible team to work with. It was such a fun collaborative process between Priyanka, Ralph Lauren, and myself. Seeing this dress come to life and walk down the aisle it still gives me chills!"

Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in Christian ceremony followed by a Hindu style wedding in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on December 2 and 3. The couple s wedding was attended by the celebrities families and friends. 3720 hours, 110 embroiders - Here's what went into the making of Priyanka Chopra's red lehenga that she wore for the Indian wedding

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra became man and wife on December 2 after exchanging the wedding vows as per Christain traditions. The couple also tied the knot as per Hindu traditions wherein Priyanka wore a stunning red lehenga by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. After Priyanka spoke about her being the Sabyasachi bride at her wedding, the designer himself shared his the couple's picture Instagram handle revealing how much effort went into the making of PeeCee's lehenga. And the amount of time spent on it is something you may have not expected. Well, it took about 110 embroiders and 3,720 hours to create Priyanka's modern masterpiece. And the end result was beyond beautiful.

Talking to the People magazine about her wedding lehenga, Priyanka said, "For the Indian wedding, I wore Sabyasachi. I always knew I wanted a red traditional silhouette for my wedding but Sabya brought in incredible French embroidery to the mix and with incredible jewellery and Western-inspired veil it was just such an amalgamation of who I am."

Andy Serkis lends support to Scarlett Johansson following a backlash from LGBTQ community

"The Lord of the Rings" fame actor Andy Serkis has defended actress Scarlett Johansson, who got dropped from the film "Rub & Tug" in which she was going to play a transgender following backlash from the LGBT community.

In an interview with Variety, Serkis said: "Actors should be able to play anything, and that's why I love performance capture technology.

"What should be the point is that whatever color your skin is, whatever shape you are, whatever height you are, whatever your makeup is as an actor, you should have the ability to play anything."

So, in the wake of the backlash, Johansson dropped out of the film and a replacement is yet to be announced, reported metro.co.uk.

For the Hindu wedding, Priyanka was dressed in red traditional attire by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee whereas Nick wore an Indian Traditional outfit and a turban. As for their Christian wedding, PeeCee looked like a dream in the white wedding gown by Ralph Lauren whereas Nick looked dapper in a black suit. Much like their lavish wedding which extended over four days, their wedding cake which was about 18ft tall also caught our attention.

Bigg Boss 12, day 79, Preview: Somi Khan gets jealous of Romil Choudhary's proximity to Jasleen Matharu

Bigg Boss house is full of drama and there are times when you can even learn some lessons from the contestants. Sometimes you need to put your best foot forward in order to succeed. The BB School Bus task got everyone to play the game, come hail or storm. The contestants geared up to compete against each other to win the task. The BB School Bus task was a tricky one where the contestants had to use their strategy to disqualify the contestant who they don t want in the captaincy task and also win back the lost prize money.

After the first horn, the housemates gathered near the door of the baggage room to get the bag with the contestants' name they wanted to eliminate. In the bargain, a massive verbal argument between Rohit and Sreesanth took place that agitated Dipika as well. With each task the dynamics of the house changes and this time the pressure to perform again made Surbhi and Romil as oppositions in the game. The friends turned foes are trying their ways to survive in the game without each other's support.

On one hand Romil is fighting a battle with his old friends from Happy Club and on the other hand he is making new relations with Jasleen and Megha. Priyanka Chopra’s Sabyasachi Bridal Lehenga Took About 3720 Hours To Make

This week has been a rollercoaster week, even a month (Yes, I know it’s just begun.)! But kya kare? #NickYanka and #DeepVeer are killin’ it (and us) with their beautiful wedding pictures. We’re still calming ourselves down here after seeing the breathtaking insider video of #NickYanka wedding by People Magazine. Also, Priyanka Chopra‘s white wedding look has definitely blown us away, but even her Hindu wedding lehenga is equally stunning and exquisite.

We have another #SabyasachiBride this year! Priyanka wore a custom-made red Sabyasachi lehenga. The amount of work gone into this single look is humongous. The hand-embroidered, hand-cut organza flowers, silk floss french knots, delicate Siam-red crystals and intricate threadwork were all the delicate details that made this stellar lehenga. All this was possible through 110 embroiderers from Kolkatta and took about 3720 hours to make.

Nick Jonas complemented her bright shades again with a beige hand-quilted silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa. He also wore a necklace from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery collection to complement his desi dulha look.

So many details and so much love, we just can’t take it! It’s amazing to see them together and we’re so happy for this happy couple.

The mega-budget venture, which shattered many milestones by grossing over Rs 400 crore in its extended opening weekend at the worldwide box office, continues to set new benchmarks at the domestic market as well. After enjoying a humongous weekend, the film remained super-strong on Monday and collected Rs 14.24 crore. With this figure, it has turned out to be fourth highest first Monday grosser beating Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani's Baaghi 2.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas hosted a lavish wedding at Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur which extended over four days. Their wedding guest list included 225 guests which included their respective families. After sharing photos from their pre-wedding festivities, the couple has now shared pictures from their Christian and Hindu weddings on December 2 and 3. And we must say, the two looked charming as ever. The pictures shared by the People's magazine who had brought rights to Nickyanka's wedding pics for a whopping amount of Rs 18 crores. Keeping that bit aside, the newlyweds got candid about their marriages to the publication and bared their heart out.

Recalling how nervous she was nervous and scared at her wedding, Priyanka said, who carried a bouquet of hyacinths and tuberoses designed by Jenya Flowers, "It was all tears. All tears. I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life." As for Nick, emotions were running during the ceremonies, especially during the Western one. "You know you think your whole life about that moment. Honestly, I could not have imagined it would be as perfect as it was. It was highly emotional," the groom added.

Concluding their chat with the international magazine, Priyanka added that she loved how their wedding was a religious mash-up. Pee Cee, who wore 75-long foot veil, also mentioned that it was incredible to find the commonalities between their beliefs and figuring out how to blend them in a respectful and meaningful way.

Marshmello and DJ-Bonobo to present a musical extravaganza in India

American DJ-producer Marshmello will return to India to perform at the popular Vh1 Supersonic music festival next year.

This will be his second time at the festival. Marshmello, known for songs like "Friends", "Wolves" and "Happier", had last performed at the fest earlier this year.

"Vh1 Supersonic has become the annual music pilgrimage for thousands of music fans from across the country and it delights us immensely to evoke the emotion of #Betherebefree for our fans with this marquee music extravaganza," Saugato Bhowmik, Business Head, Integrated Network Solutions and Consumer Products, said in a statement.

People Magazine Just Unveiled Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra’s Wedding Photos And They’re Super Dreamy

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas treated us to some pictures from their mehendi and sangeet ceremony. The couple tied the knot in two ceremonies, one was the Christian wedding and the other was the Hindu wedding. Their white wedding took place on 1st December during the day and their Hindu wedding ceremonies took place on 2nd December. Both the weddings were held at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

We were waiting to see the pictures of PeeCee and Nick from their weddings and guess what, they’re finally out! People Magazine have unveiled pictures from the white and Hindu wedding and let us tell us, it looks nothing less than a dream. We just cannot deal with so much love in the pictures. We may sound mushy, but they are just so adorable together.

The actress looks so beautiful! While she looked like a dream in her Christian wedding, here she looks as beautiful as an Indian bride.

PeeCee is wearing Sabyasachi, which is a dream from every bride. In a complete red attire, Priyanka is the very definition of perfection. Nick has also aced the Indian groom avatar. His golden sherwani is a steal!

According to the report in People, "Her necklace featured 84.50-carats of pear-shaped diamonds set in 18k white gold, while her earrings were pear-shaped diamonds totaling 6.07-carats. She wore a second necklace featuring a 16-carat oval-shaped diamond drop on her head. Jonas, 26, was also dressed in a traditional Indian outfit and turban. He wore a hand-quilted silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa. His rose-cut kalgi and Syndicate diamond necklace are from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry Collection."

While talking about her wedding PeeCee spoke to People and said, "For the Indian wedding, I wore Sabyasachi. I always knew I wanted a red traditional silhouette for my wedding but Sabya brought in incredible French embroidery to the mix and with incredible jewelry and Western-inspired veil it was just such an amalgamation of who I am."

Speaking to Vogue, the recently married couple had confirmed that Nick s father, Paul Kevin Jonas aka Papa Jonas had officiated the wedding. There were speculations that Papa Jonas also filled the shoes of Priyanka s father to escort her down the aisle and hand her over to Nick at the wedding. However, now, according to People, Chopra was escorted down the aisle by her mother Madhu.

South box-office clash: It's showdown time for Maari 2, Adanga Maru, Seethakaathi and Silukkuvarupatti Singam

December 21 will be a day that Tamil filmmakers and audience will be looking forward to eagerly. Directed by Balaji Mohan, Maari 2 features Dhanush in the lead role and that reason is enough to draw the crowds to the theatre. Adanga Maru:

Silukkuvarupatti Singam:

This commercial potboiler features Vishnu Vishal, who recently grabbed the biggest hit of his career with Ratsasan, in the lead role. Silukkuvarupatti Singam also stars Regina Cassandra, who hasn t had a release in quite a few months now.

Abhishek Kapoor on Fitoor’s failure: That story shouldn't have been made in that budget

Abhishek Kapoor, who is gearing up for his next directorial "Kedarnath", says his attempt as a filmmaker is not to repeat himself with a similar kind of films on the big screen. When asked about how he inspires himself with every new project, Kapoor told IANS in an interview here: "As a filmmaker, my attempt is not to repeat a film. There is a trend out there (in the industry) that if there is a hit film, then people start making similar kind of films. For instance, if you make a good action film, you repeat that.

"I work in an absolutely opposite way. I want to disappear and would be happy if there are no traces of me in (my new) film. The joy of making a movie is the humility of not knowing anything about that world. From 'Rock On!!', I did 'Kai Po Che!'...everything was different."

Written, directed and co-produced by Kapoor, "Kedarnath" tells the story of a Hindu girl who takes a pilgrimage to the historic Kedarnath Temple in the Uttarakhand mountains, where she meets and falls in love with a Muslim boy who is her guide. As they grow closer along the journey, they face many obstacles, including familial disapproval and contrasting backgrounds. When the sudden rains that led to the 2013 Uttarakhand floods devastate the region, the couple is forced to survive against the elements and face the ultimate test of their love.

Releasing on December 7, the film will launch Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan and his former wife Amrita Singh. She has been paired with actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Kapoor, whose last directorial was "Fitoor" starring Tabu, Katrina Kaif, and Aditya Roy Kapur, has no pressure of failure with "Kedarnath" -- if, god forbid, that happens.

"I have seen too many failures in my life. People started recognizing me and my work since I became a director, but I used to be an actor before and I have seen way too many failures and disappointments there also. After a point, you get pretty hardened about it because you know how it is to live with failures. The thing is to break barriers," he said.

Talking about "Fitoor", he says it was disappointing to see the film's fate because so much of hard work was put into it.

"But after it is done and time passes by, you do some introspection and you come to terms that 'Okay there are certain things you shouldn't have done as these are things that went wrong'. The film got such a backlash. You don't make films to piss people off.

"However, you try to come back with a better movie. Even if this film doesn't do well, you won't see my disappointment dismissing even by a fraction," Kapoor told IANS here.

He says that in the case of "Fitoor", the idea and the budget didn't go down well.

"That story shouldn't have been made in that budget. I think I indulged a bit more," said the filmmaker, adding that "Kedarnath" is neither very cheap on the budget, nor outrageously expensive.

With "Kedarnath", he is launching Sara. And it's not the first time he is launching an actor, as he had done so with Farhan Akhtar in "Rock On!!" and with Sushant in "Kai Po Che!".

However, he says he doesn't try to be "a big launchpad".

"This is not my intent. It's just a coincidence that I happen to launch a lot of new faces. However, I am here to make films. Sometimes the characters that I have in my film are very young... The movie that I make demands a certain kind of courage, dedication and absolute submission which I find new actors can give provided they have talent.

"Not every newcomer is talented, so they have to have something for me to fully and thoroughly exploit them through performances," said Kapoor.

Her makeup artiste also revealed that around six pre-wedding functions are happening at her home, where friends and relatives have congregated. It seems a team of makeup artists and hairstylists will be flown in from Mumbai for the main wedding and reception that will take place at a posh hotel close to Jalandhar. The couple will then host a party in Mumbai for their Bollywood friends.

Exclusive: Yami Gautam Doesn’t Look Like This Any More

Nowadays, actors leave no stone unturned to get the look of their character right. Be it putting on weight, shedding the kilos, going bald or cutting their tresses short, actors are ready to go to any extent to stay true to the character. One actress who has undergone a look change for her character is Yami Gautam. The actress will be seen in an all-new avatar for her upcoming film Uri: The Surgical Strike. Yami, who will be seen in the role of an Intelligence officer in the film, revealed her look today. For her role, the actress wanted a neat look hence she decided to go with the short haircut.

Yami shared,

The look for Uri is something very different from what I have been seen in on screen before. It had to be a fuss-free yet a very neat look and thus the decision to chop the tresses was made consciously to suit the character. When you’re portraying the story of a real-life incident there’s an added responsibility to make things more authentic and as real as possible.

Uri is a military drama based on the real-life incident that took place in 2016 when the Indian Army conducted a surgical strike in Uri, Kashmir. We will see Vicky Kaushal as the lead actor in the film. Uri also marks the debut of television actor Mohit Raina in Bollywood and also stars Paresh Rawal and Kirti Kulhari.

7 Bollywood Newcomers Who Impressed Us With Their Performance In 2018

I look forward to new faces in Bollywood as much as I look forward to movie releases every Friday. You never know which fauji might go on to become the next king of Bollywood. (Get it? Get it?) This year saw a number of  newcomers in the industry – some star kids, some who transitioned from television and some outsiders as well. Many of them left a lasting impression on the audience whereas others, not so much.

Here are a few debutants who made a mark in 2018:

1. Janhvi Kapoor

In July this year, Janhvi made her debut in Shashank Khaitan‘s Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khattar and her onscreen persona definitely caught our eye. Reportedly, she is now being considered for Ranbhoomi with Varun Dhawan.

2. Ishaan Khattar

2018 was a double blast for Ishaan Khattar. He was seen in Iranian filmmaker, Majidi Majidi‘s Beyond The Clouds in April and later in Dhadak with Janhvi. If you ask me, he has all the ingredients of a Bollywood hero – great acting chops, fabulous dancing skills and of course, a cute face helps. 

3. Mouni Roy

Mouni was an established actress even before she entered Bollywood with Akshay Kumar‘s Gold. She had proved her talent with popular shows such as Naagin and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and looks like she is all set to take Bollywood by the storm now. Mouni will be seen next in Ayan Mukherji‘s Brahmastra, with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

4. Ayush Sharma

Salman Khan‘s brother-in-law, Ayush Sharma was seen in Loveyatri with another debutante, Warina Hussain.

5. Mithila Palkar

The poster girl of Indian web series ventured into Bollywood with Karwaan, starring Irrfan Khan. She has an undeniable screen presence, which we saw and loved in Girl In The City, Little Things and other shows. We would love to see more of this cutie on the big screen.

6. Rohan Mehra

(Late) veteran actor Vinod Mehra‘s son, Rohan was seen in Saif Ali Khan‘s Bazaar this year. Nowadays when star kids become famous even before they have made their on screen debut, Rohan was hardly a known face. He grew up in Mombasa, Kenya in the 90’s after his father’s death and came back to India to try his hand at acting.

7. Sara Ali Khan

Now I know she hasn’t really made her debut yet, as there are still 3 days to go for Kedarnath and another few for Simmba. But I don’t doubt it an ounce that Sara will leave us floored with her on screen demeanour. One can tell from the promos of her upcoming films that her dialogue delivery is commendable and so is her screen presence. She’s gonna be the ultimate Bollywood star, don’t you agree?!
