Two popular comedians returned to the TV space in the last week of 2018. On one side, we had Kapil Sharma who, after a controversial sabbatical, returned with his The Kapil Sharma Show, and on the other hand, Sunil Grover headlined a chat show that was on similar lines with the above-mentioned weekly. While the two shared a rivalry earlier, as soon as the shows were announced, their personal animosity seemed to have dissolved and a professional relationship kickstarted. The Kapil Sharma Show garnered the much-needed hype due to the popularity its previous seasons had while Kanpur Waale Khuranas didn't create any hype in the first place which left the audience helpless. The audience couldn t even connect to Sunil s show.
A few days ago, we asked you to vote for your favorite show out of the two and this is what we found out which show was loved the most by the masses. With a colossal margin, Kapil Sharma has won the battle. A staggering 78 percent of the public voted for Kapil's show while Sunil received a vote bank of a meager 22 per cent.
Although the ratings of Kapil's show are not out yet, we can vouch that it will get a better opening than Grover's. Our readers verdict is out and while this was a healthy fight, we hope it stays so in the coming months as well.
