Mohit Raina, popularly known for playing the role of Mahadev in the TV series Devon Ka Dev Mahadev, has been away from the small screen for a while now. However, the actor went on to do a web series, 21 - Sarfarosh 1987 Saragarh which was based on the battle of Saragrahi and another one titled Bhaukaal which is yet to be released. Moving on from digital arena, the actor is now making his B-town debut with Aditya Dhar's Uri which is based on the 2016 Indian Army's surgical strikes on Pakistan as a retaliation for the Uri attack.
Here's the trailer of the movie if you haven't watched it yet:
Days before the release of Uri, we caught up with Mohit and asked about the thing that everyone wants to know, about his plans of returning to TV. And from what Mohit said, it seems the wait is just going to be a bit longer. Spilling the beans about his comeback to TV, he said, "Well right now I am just enjoying this phase of digital world and the film of course. I am more than happy in this zone right now. Let's see what future has in store." Disappointed much, aren't you?
Amidst discussing about his upcoming film's character and his image as Lord Shiva, when asked if he would be able to break that image after so many years with Uri, Mohit said, "You see, there are some things that get attached with you. I am not sure if this is the right example but when anyone talks about Al Pacino saab we remember him as GodFather and Paul Walker for Fast and Furious. It's like people take one particular thing about you that always stays with them. You can never take it back from the audience. I have no control over it. I cannot knock on someone's door and say, 'remember me as Captain Karan Kashyap now on'. I cannot do that."
