Recap of the week from South: From Prabhas-Anushka’s viral videos to Vishal’s wedding, here’s what made it to the list

The new year brought in a lot of new things including first look posters, teasers and quite a few viral videos. Prabhas and Anushka were seen in a quick chat at Rajamouli s son Karthikeya s wedding and fans were in awe of their lovely chemistry yet again. The week also saw the first look of Nani from his upcoming film Jersey being released which created huge excitement amongst the fans of the Natural Star. Akhil Akkineni is back in business with Mr Majnu and the teaser was unveiled this week. And similarly, there were quite a few pieces of news that happened this week. Here s a quick recap of what happened this week:

Mr Majnu Teaser

Akhil Akkineni will be seen playing a stylish Casanova in his upcoming film Mr Majnu which is being directed by Venky Atluri. The makers unveiled the teaser of the film which gives us a glimpse of Akhil s role in it. Nidhhi Agerwal will be seen playing Akhil s love interest in the film. Check out the teaser right here:

Nani will be seen playing a cricketer in his upcoming film Jersey which is directed by Malli Raava director Gowtam Tinnanuri. The makers unveiled the first look of Nani from the film and it couldn t have been any better than that. Check out the poster right here:

Prabhas and Anushka

Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Nani and Anushka among many others were in Jaipur the last week attending SS Rajamouli s son Karthikeya s wedding. The stars made stylish appearances at the do but what caught the attention of the fan world was this viral video of Prabhas and Anushka. The Baahubali star-couple are seen having a quick chat in the video and fans are happy to see them together again. Check out the video right here:

Kaappaan first look

Suriya Sivakumar has joined hands with director KV Anand for the third time and the project is said to be another action-thriller. The makers unveiled the title and first look poster of the film this week which sent fans into a frenzy. The film has been titled Kaappaan and Suriya is seen sporting a stylish look in it. Maharshi second look

Mahesh Babu is currently shooting for Maharshi which is directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The makers had released a teaser of the film on Mahesh Babu s birthday in August last year and fans were very happy with his look in the film. And to make the New Year s Eve a special one, the second look of Mahesh Babu from Maharshi was unveiled and we cannot find words to describe how stylish and suave he looks in it. Check it out here:

Allu Arjun-Trivikram film

There have been loads of speculations around who would Allu Arjun team up with next and fans have long waited to hear about it. Ending the wait, it was reported that Allu Arjun will be teaming up with Trivikram Srinivas for his next and that the project is yet to be titled. The film will be bankrolled by S Radha Krishna and Allu Arvind jointly.

Vishal s wedding

The news that Tamil movie-buffs have been waiting to hear came out this week and fans are left with quite a few questions. Vishal will soon get married to a girl named Anisha who hails from Hyderabad. Vishal s father GK Reddy spilled thebeans about his son s upcoming wedding. However, fans are surprised that the bride isn t Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
