The acclaimed international website Business Of Fashion (BOF) is all about delving deep into the fashion industry and dishing out details to the audience like never before. BOF hosts its annual gathering called VOICES which brings together the different groundbreakers of the global fashion industry on one platform to talk about the different aspects of the industry. And this year, our very own fashionista, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja was one of the panellists! Sonam Kapoor and fellow panellist Karla Bookman spoke about the challenges women in India are facing and the fight against taboos and patriarchal norms. The panel was hosted by BOF‘s founder Imran Amed.
For this panel, her sister and celebrity stylist, Rhea Kapoor, rightly picked a chic formal outfit from Escada. She wore a white turtleneck sweater with a blue checkered blazer and a coordinating pencil skirt. This #BossLady look was styled with a longline jacket, thigh-high boots, heart-shaped gold earrings and Escada‘s classic heart-quilt bag. Rhea even shared their ‘Fittings over FaceTime‘ moment on her Insta story. Even the classic smokey eyes and cherry red lip tint by celebrity makeup artist Maria Asadi and soft wavy mane by celebrity hairstylist Hiral Bhatia went in sync with the look.
Sonam switched it up for the gala dinner with the help of fashion stylist Nikhil Mansata. For her glam look, she again went with one of her favourite designer labels, Anamika Khanna. The statement-making combo of the ivory gown and a longline jacket was accessorised with traditional jhumkas and pointed-toe heels. Adding to the glam quotient was her beauty look by Maria with shimmery eyelids and blush pink lips. Whereas, Hiral went for a sleek bun so that the whole look did all the talking.
