It feels like we re taking a trip down the memory lane and we have Hollywood to thank for it. Studios in the West are reviving several movies from our childhood, Mowgli being one of them. The Jungle Book story about a boy growing up in the jungle has been reprised by different directors over the years. However, the Netflix movie is all set to give us a never-seen-before perspective about the popular children story.
The movie adds a dark tint to the otherwise glossy movie and we re excited. While the movie originally features Hollywood actors like Andy Serkis (who is also the director of the movie), Christian Bale, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cate Blanchett and Frieda Pinto in the lead roles, Mowgli is getting a Hindi-dub release as well and it is studded with talents from Bollywood. One of the many stars lending their voice for the movie is Jackie Shroff. Jaggu Dada is filling in the shoes of Cumberbatch, who plays Shere Khan in the movie.
Speaking to BollywoodLife recently, the actor said that the Doctor Strange actor has one of the most expressive eyes which helped him perform better behind the screen. His (Cumberbatch) eyes are so expressive. I tried to look into his eyes most of the time. Benedict s eyes are something precious, he said. Shroff also said that the English actor left him in awe with his precision of Shere Khan. Enacting a few moves, he saw portrayed by Benedict, the actor couldn t help but praise the Brit star.

Apart from Jackie, Kareena Kapoor Khan (Kaa), Anil Kapoor (Baloo), Abhishek Bachchan (Bagheera) and other stars have also lent their voices for Mowgli in Hindi. The movie will be available on the streaming site from December 7.
