Now that's a shocker! 2.0 which saw good trending on the first day even when the Trade was not too elated about its Hindi version numbers, took a dip yesterday. From Rs 20.25 crore on the first day, the film dropped to Rs 18 crore. It may not be a massive slump in the collection, Thugs Of Hindostan has seen much worse, this does look a bit alarming. However, there's a lot of scope for the film to redeem itself on Saturday and Sunday as the figures are expected to escalate. In fact, the film has to score well in these two days to take the Hindi version to a Rs 100 crore extended weekend overhaul. That's the least expected from this expensive bonanza by from Shankar. But there's no reason to be too disheartened here because if we consider its Tamil movie numbers, the film has done a tremendous business. It has usurped Vijay's Sarkar from the highest opening day in Chennai. Plus, the worldwide gross of the film exceeded Rs 100 crore in the first day itself. Clearly, the film is getting appreciated as well. But the Hindi version will need some push today.
