Makers of Mohanlal-starrer Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham build huge ships for shooting – all deets inside

Malayalam top star Mohanlal has an interesting line-up of films in 2019 which includes the magnum opus Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham to be directed by Priyaddarshan. The story of Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is based on the life of Marakkar who was the first Muslin Navy chief of Zamorin, the Hindu king of Calicut in 16th Century. The film will have a slew of top stars from various film industries besides Mohanlal. And beginning the pre-production works of the film, the makers of Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham have started building ships which will be of the Portuguese era at an uptown studio in Hyderabad. The construction works of the ship re being supervised award winning production designer Sabu Cyril. Kalyani Priyadarashan, daughter of director Priyadarshan, posted a picture from the sets on her Twitter which gave a sneak peek into the set works. Check out the tweet right here:

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham will also feature Mahanati actress Keeerthy Suresh in a key role while Mohanlal s son Pranav too would be seen playing a key role. Kalyani Priyadarshan herself will also be seen portraying an important role in Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. The film is said to be one of the most expensive ones in Malayalam cinema and will have more sets like these built over a period of time. The shooting of the film began today in Hyderabad and director Priyadarshan took to Twitter and posted these pictures from the launch. Check out the images right here:
