2.0 released couple of days ago and the Rajinikanth storm has taken over the box office records. And Rajinikanth also has Petta releasing which will be out during Pongal 2019. And a day before release of 2.0, we ran a quick poll to check which film fans were most excited about between Petta and 2.0. and the winner is unanimous. 2.0 beats Petta with major votes and stands at 71% while Petta mania is yet to arrive. This proves the hysteria around 2.0 and is one of the reason why the Sci-Fi thriller has turned out to be a blockbuster hit. Directed by Shankar, 2.0 has Rajinikanth playing quadrupole roles in it with newer versions of Chitti The Robo in this sequel which is being loved by fans. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar played an equal and strong role in 2.0, Pakshi Rajan, and his portrayal is being loved by his fans and Tamil movie buffs too.
Petta, on the other hand, is directed by young filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj and has the superstar sporting multiple looks going by the posters revealed so far. Petta, besides Rajinikanth, stars Simran and Trisha Krishnan in key roles and will the actresses first film with the superstar. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing an important role in Petta and will be his first association with Rajinikanth. Petta also stars Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the antagonist and will be his debut film in Tamil cinema. The Sacred Games actor has already shot for his portions in Petta which is gearing up for release in January 2019.
