2.0 has now become synonymous to blockbuster hit at box office and the collections with each passing day are reaching new heights. After earning a gross collection of Rs 100 crore in Tamil, 2.0 has now entered an elite club in Telugu states. 2.0 has earned a gross collection of Rs 50 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana which is for the Telugu version. Occupancy for the current week look 100% in most of the centres and the collections are expected to go up in the first week after weekend. Overall, 2.0 has earned a gross collection of Rs 320 crore which includes Tamil, Telugu and Hindi in Indian and overseas markets. This Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer has already cocked $3 million in North America which includes the Canadian markets as well.

Directed by Shankar, 2.0 stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in lead roles while Bollywood actors like Adil Hussein and Sudhanshu Pandey are seen playing pivotal roles. Rajinikanth s quadrupole act in 2.0 is garnering all the attention. The VFX works in 2.0 are being lauded by audience and is being compared with Hollywood films of the same genre. 2.0 is the first ever film in Indian cinema to be shot completely in 3D. the Sci-Fi thriller is also the first ever film to be laced with 4D sound system and has made the cinema halls up their technology. The music and background score by A.R.Rahman is receiving a special mention from audience and critics.
