2.0, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, is cruising through at the box office and is unstoppable now. After having raked in Rs 100 crore right on the first day of release, 2.0 has now gone past Rs 200 crore at the box office and will soon reach the Rs 300-crore mark. 2.0 has, so far, earned a gross collection of Rs 290 crore worldwide which includes Rs 85 crore from international markets. 2.0 has also crossed the $3 million mark in the US and has turned out to be the first ever Tamil cinema to do so in the North American market. Director Shankar s graphic-backed 2.0 is on collection spree and is creating new records on the way.
Rajinikanth s quadrupole act in 2.0 is garnering all the attention and is turning out to be the best film in his career. Akshay Kumar s act as Pakshi Rajan has impressed audience highly. 2.0 is also Akshay Kumar s first ever film to earn a gross collection of more than Rs 100 crore right on the first day. 2.0 is now on the verge of crossing the Rs 300-crore mark and entering elite club of films like Baahubali, Dangal and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

2.0 is the first ever film for Rajinikanth to have such huge openings in the Telugu state beating the likes of Kaala and Kabali. 2.0 is Rajinikanth s first film to clock highest opening in Tamil Nadu with a gross earning of Rs 26.7 crore approximately. Rajinikanth s previous best was Kaala which had clocked Rs 17 crore approximately in Tamil Nadu.
