This episode of Koffee With Karan's sixth season was a controversial one as it was after a big public spat and a few years of no talking between Karan Johar and Kajol that the two along with Ajay Devgn were coming together. While, Ajay and Kajol had been on the Koffee couch separately earlier, this was their first time together on the show, in fact on any chat show for that matter. While the fight between Karan and Kajol had been an ugly one resulting in the two swearing to never talk to each other, we were not expecting Karan to openly discuss it on national television and even apologise to both Kajol and Ajay for it. Quoting the phrase, 'Never say never again,' the filmmaker confessed that he really missed his closest friend had regretted the fact that he had even written an entire chapter about their fight in his book. He said his heart broke when he looked through his childhood friend Kajol at a Manish Malhotra show. But true friend in him couldn't stop instinctively trying to help a falling Kajol either. In these few lines, the two summed up how strong and deep their friendship is.
Meanwhile, Ajay revealed that he always asked Kajol to talk it out with Karan and sort things. So, finally on one of her birthdays, Kajol invited her buddy and Karan accepted the invitation. The fight ended and they got back to mending their friendship. But with the big fight having been captured on TV back then, we are guessing Karan found it only right to put a final end to all rumours and speculations and extend a formal apology to the couple. Now that requires some courage and we really look up to Karan for this.
May their friendship never have any more roadblocks. Because hey, childhood friends are precious!
