From Ajay Devgn and Kajol giving their mantra for a successful marriage to Karan Johar's fun quiz with Kajol s brutally honest answers, today s episode of the sixth season of Koffee With Karan was highly entertaining. And we are not surprised as Kajol was in the house. It had to be an episode full of bubbly laughter. The couple who has been married for 19 years now, appeared together on a chat show for the first time ever. And mind you, it was amazing to see them on the same couch, interacting with each other like a regular married couple. Moving on, they embarked on a candid chat about everything under the sun and we got to see a different side of Ajay who is otherwise intimidating. In the age of millennials where marriages are literally crumbling away, here were two people who believe that a relationship always works if the ones involved want to make it work. Relationships are made up of bits of not getting along and getting along, the actress explained, calling it a continuous process. Meanwhile, Ajay strongly feels that insecurities are the biggest hindrance in a marriage. And so, the little nok-jhok that is part of every marriage was clearly present here too. The strong Bajirao Singham was seen cowering when Kajol glared at him for calling her talkative or forgetting the exact date of their marriage, which is February 24, 1999.
Then there was the bit where Ajay cleared out rumours about him stopping Kajol from working all this while. Kajol quickly came to his defense saying, I am an avid reader and I love fast-paced novels. If a script isn t engaging, I don t think it s worth my time and effort. And KJo vouched for that saying she had turned down quite a few scripts till date. Topics of discussion then got lighter and Ajay revealed how Kajol is a box hoarder. He narrated a recent incident from Diwali when he gifted her something. The actress apparently took out all the things and said that she loved the box and even started planning what to store in it. He playfully asked her, Karte kya ho saare dabbon ka? Ajay mentioned that she was a miser as well when it came to shopping. Earlier she would shop from Santacruz market, but now she has got into online shopping. So, every day, there are about 7-8 parcels that get delivered at their home for Kajol. And they all range between Rs 600-700, informed the Raid actor.
After all the ladai zagda came the time for a fun quiz. When Karan asked which of her co-stars from the 90s was more likely to throw a tantrum on set, the actress answered, Saif Ali Khan. The actor who would arrive late and not even apologise would be Shah Rukh Khan according to her, the one who would lie about being busy would be husband Ajay and the one to still wear atrocious 90s fashion would be herself.
