Rajinikanth's 2.0 has released today and the fans of the Thalaivar have gone all-out to make sure that this film turns to be a huge-money spinner at the box office. Now, as 2.0 has hit the screens, Rajinikanth will now focus on his upcoming venture Petta, which is set to hit the screens during the festive weekend of Pongal in 2019. But we all know all other Kollywood biggie, that is Thala Ajith's Viswasam is hitting the screens on the same date and it seems Thala power is dominating Thalaivar already before its release.
As per the latest reports, Petta is finding tough time to find screens in Tamil Nadu as the makers of Viswasam, KJR Pictures have already booked 70 per cent screens. With Thala Ajith's rural drama being the top-choice for Theatre owners, it will be interesting to see whether Sun Pictures will postpone Petta or release with limited screens. As per the leading south portal Ananda Vikatan, the role of the superstar will be the proper mix of a classy and massy hero. He will be a hostel warden in the day but a dreaded don in the night. Interestingly, this will be Rajinikanth's third character as a don after Kabali and Kaala. (Also Read: 2:0: Thalaivar mania begins! On the other hand, Viswasam brings Nayanthara and Ajith together after more than 5 years. It marks the fourth collaboration between Ajith and director Siva after crackling hits like Vedhalam, Veeram and Vivegam. The film also stars Vivekh, Thambi Ramaiah, Yogi Babu, Bose Venkat and Kovai Sarala in pivotal roles. Anyway, do you think Viswasam will beat Petta at the box office? Tweet to us...
