The film has received a phenomenal response in the advance booking and will surely open to mammoth figures on its opening day. In fact, a video of fans watching 2.0 has gone viral on social media. As it turns out, the screening of the film was paused for 3 minutes to celebrate Thalaiva s first entry in the theatres. Well, this isn't the first time that something like this has happened. Earlier, Rajini fans have shown grand gestures and have proven their loyalty. From pouring milk on his cardboard cutout to dancing on dhol-Tasha, they almost worship the veteran actor and one can totally see why. Karan Johar is presenting the Hindi version of 2.0 under his banner Dharma Productions. Apparently, it is the first Indian film, which is entirely shot in 3D. Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, the film also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in pivotal roles. With 10000 screens globally, it is widest Indian release ever.
