Ranveer Singh is currently riding high on the success of his latest film, Simmba. In fact, not just Simmba, but Padmaavat is also one of the highest grossing films of the Box Office 2018. Two blockbusters in a row and getting married to the love of his life, Deepika Padukone – 2018 has been a truly wonderful year for the actor.
It’s hard to ignore the fact that none of the top movies of 2018 feature the Khans, who are usually a part of the 200-crore club in Bollywood. When the numbers were brought to Ranveer’s attention, he said it’s the responsibility of the young generation to continue the legacy set by their seniors. He told Mid-day:
It’s critical for Hindi film business that the newer generation of stars like Ranbir (Kapoor) and I take forward the work that our seniors have put in. They have built the eco-system of the business, and it’s heartening to see our efforts paying off. Our numbers are respectable so far.
That’s a healthy and mature outlook, I feel. What do you guys think? Do you think the younger generation is finally replacing the era of Khans or it’s too soon for that?!
