It was a special day for Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as their upcoming movie Gully Boy s trailer released today. The promo gave us a glimpse at the musical movie which is going to unfold the events of a Mumbai-based rapper while he realises that music is his life. By the time the trailer ended, we found ourselves going wow as we watched Ranveer and Alia. While this was the first time we saw Alia in this avatar, Ranveer took us back in time, back to where it all started. He dragged us back to Band Baaja Baaraat.
Ranveer s look in Gully Boy comes extremely close to his role in his debut movie. Right from his hairdo to his outfit and expressions, there are several shots that took us back to the 2010 movie. Gully Boy is based in Mumbai and tells the tale of an aspiring rapper who is trying to reach for the stars in the music industry. The movie will bring forward the struggles, his journey and his success, and is directed by Zoya Akhtar. It also features Kalki Koechlin in a prominent role. Check out the trailer below.
