Yesterday morning, the nation woke up to the sad news of veteran actor-director, Rakesh Roshan's diagnosis with cancer. It was his son, Hrithik Roshan, who informed that the 69-year-old, had been diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago. Soon after Hrithik shared the news about his father's diagnosis and surgery, fans and well-wishers of Sr Roshan sent wishes for his speedy recovery. After the filmmaker was operated, replying to PM Narendra Modi's tweet, Hrithik gave a health update about his dad saying his surgery went well. And now, Sr Roshan's brother and veteran music director, Rajesh Roshan, has informed Mumbai Mirror that the filmmaker is indeed recovering well.
"He is better now and recovering well. We were all very tense about the surgery and the entire family was in the hospital with him. God willing, he will be up in the next three days and should be discharged from the hospital," he told the tabloid. We are so happy to hear that the filmmaker has responded well to the treatment. And we wish he gets back into action soon.
On the professional front, Sr Roshan is set to direct the fourth installment of Krrish which will definitely feature Hrithik. Rakesh Roshan has already announced that the film will release in 2020.
