Despite facing stiff competition from Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan's Zero and Ranveer Singh's Simmba, the Hindi version of Yash and Srinidhi Shetty starrer KGF has remained rock-steady at the box office and ended its third week on a winning note. It earned Rs 70 lakhs yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 40.39 crore. Since Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike and Anupam Kher's The Accidental Prime Minister has released today, KGF has lost maximum screens at the ticket windows.
#KGF crosses 40 cr mark, which is truly commendable... [Week 3] Fri 90 lakhs, Sat 1.35 cr, Sun 2 cr, Mon 88 lakhs, Tue 85 lakhs, Wed 76 lakhs, Thu 70 lakhs. Total: 40.39 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version.

Despite being a Kannada film, it struck a chord with the audience due to its riveting content. "As long as the story is engaging, there will be some emotional connect to it. As long as the film connects with you, emotionally identifies with you, I don't think language would be a barrier," said Ritesh Sidhwani from Excel Entertainment, who presented the Hindi version.
Talking about the reviews, our critic Urmimala Banerjee gave the film three stars and wrote, "Bollywood has made heroes out of many gangsters and this role should be a landmark one for Kannada superstar Yash. Engrossing content, super production values and an interesting premise for chapter two makes this a tantalising gangster flick." Anyway, have you liked the film? Tweet to us...
