Petta is a celebration of Rajinikanth's style and swag and director Karthik Subbaraj sets a cracker of a premise to create whistle-worthy moments. Rajinikanth makes a whirlwind entry as a temporary warden of a college hostel where there is indiscipline and unacceptable culture. In the process of setting things back in track, Rajinikanth ends up locking horns with the local goon. However, there's a backstory to this particular episode that leads to the tussle between Rajinikanth and the goon.
Rajinikanth, as Kaali, is everything you want to watch on screen. Intense style and swag is in abundance in this commercial potboiler which is a must watch if you are a Rajinikanth fan. And if you aren't a fan, then watch to see how Rajinikanth owns the screen with his style.
This is so far from the first half of the film. Watch this space for the full review of Petta.
