These past few weeks have redefined what the term Big Fat Indian Wedding means. And this is all thanks to #DeepVeer, #NickYanka and the newest wedding on the block, the Ambani-Piramal union. From their outfits to their venues and more, each element of these big weddings has managed to leave everyone mesmerised.
But as people who love food, we couldn’t help but wonder what cuisines these celebrities had at their wedding. Especially after we witnessed Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan serve food to the guests at the Ambani-Piramal celebration. So we did a little digging and got to know the details about what went down at their receptions.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s Wedding
Both DP and Ranveer believed that less is more and spelled that into their food menu as well. Along with their traditional Konkani and Sindhi dishes, their Italy Wedding also included chaat and street food, Indian Chinese, barbeque, and kebabs. Foodlink B&C were the caterers who set all of this in place. So much so that even the waiters were trained to work on their dialect so they could pronounce the names of the Indian dishes to the T. The designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee also relished the authentic spread with so much heart that he wanted to go back to writing food blogs, something he did years ago.
Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s Wedding
For a wedding that had Beyoncé, SRK, Salman Khan and more, you know that the food too was gonna be larger than life too. They had a team of exquisite food stylists that were flown down from Paris to serve delectable dishes to their guests. Staying true to their roots, the Ambani-Piramal wedding also had an extensive array of traditional Gujarati dishes served on custom made cutlery and crockery which upped the opulence and charm of their festivities.
This just proves just how much detail went into every bit of these grand Indian weddings! Tell us what you think of their food menus in the comments below.
