Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Rohit Shetty are on a promotional spree for their upcoming entertainer Simmba. And if history is anything to go by, Rohit Shetty will deliver exactly what he promises in the trailer and that is a full blown bright, colourful and dhamakedar entertainer. But turns out things are a little different this time around. While it will be all of the above, the film also addresses the rape and sexual harassment of women. The team has confirmed the same during multiple interactions with the media and at a recent one, both Sara and Rohit separately revealed how she had landed the role in Simmba.
According to newbie Sara, her director is the ‘king of commercial cinema’.

Rohit Shetty had an equally funny response to being asked how he chose Sara.
Nobody approached Sara. She approached us herself. She literally cooked my brain by messaging me so many times. Sara happened because of Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor, director of Sara’s debut film, Kedarnath) because he also called me and asked me to cast Sara! He took the initiative and told me to watch some footage of ‘Kedarnath’ that they had already shot. Then I saw it and called her.
Turns out just like Ranveer, even Sara was super excited to work with Rohit Shetty and worked towards getting her role.
