2019 is here. It's time to hope again that filmmakers will be good to Bollywood. Content triumphed last year and we wish it will continue this year as well. Apart from that, fresh pairings had a fairly good run at the box office. Deepika Padukone-Shahid Kapoor's jodi was a hit and so was Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha's pairing. There will be a few this year as well and we hope their combined luck boosts Bollywood's fate. Here are a few new pairings of 2019.
Alia has two releases next year and both will see her pair first time with her co-actors. There's Gully Boy with Ranveer and Brahmastra with Ranbir. Gully Boy is the true story of a rapper. They have done a lot of ads together and have visible chemistry. As for Brahmastra, Ranbir and Alia are romantically involved in real life as well. Plus, the movie has a supernatural twist and releases in Christmas.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui-Athiya Shetty
These two will pair up for the first time in Motichoor Chaknachoor. That's a very usual pairing and thus it has become really interesting.
Deepika Padukone-Vikrant Massey
Deepika and Vikrant will come together for the first time in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapak. It is inspired by Lakshmi Aggarwal's struggle after an acid attack left her face mutilated.
Sushant Singh Rajput-Bhumi Pednekar, Sushant Singh Rajput-Shraddha Kapoor
Sushant and Bhumi will be seen together for the first time in Abhishek Chaubey's Sonchiriya. The trailer made it apparent that this film will be raw and brutal. Sushant and Shraddha will work together in Chhichhore.
Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani
Shahid plays rowdy Kabir Singh in the remake of Arjun Reddy and it's all for his love, Kiara. This is an interesting pairing.
