Emraan Hashmi's son, Ayaan, was just four years old when he was diagnosed with first stage cancer. However, with the support of his parents, friends and his own will power, the little one fought the deadly disease and has been declared cancer-free five years after his diagnosis. Thanking those who prayed for his son's well being, the actor took to social media handle and tweeted, "Today, 5 years after his diagnosis Ayaan has been declared cancer free. It has been quite a journey. Thank you for all your prayers and wishes. Love and prayers for all the cancer fighters out there, hope and belief goes a long way. You can WIN this battle !!! #thekissoflife." (sic)

Back in 2016, Emraan Hashmi had published a book on his son's battle with cancer, titled The Kiss Of Life. Revealing as to how he felt while writing the book, the actor had told India n Express, "When we thought that this is going to be documented in this book, I thought it s going to be an extremely painful journey to relive all of that once again. In some ways, moments brought about nostalgia because the book is not just about the episode of cancer, it s about retracing how I was in college, school, my grandmother, my father and everyone from the family." Nevertheless, we are happy to know that Emraan's champ has won the battle against Ugly C.
