To say that Ranveer Singh is having an eventful year would be stating the obvious. He is quite clearly the man of the moment. First with the release of Padmaavat, where he was praised for his role of Khilji, then for his wedding with Deepika Padukone and now Simmba - Ranveer's year was certainly choc-a-bloc! But he isn't complaining. Far from that, in fact. Ranveer is busy counting his blessings and he is counting Deepika twice. Why you ask? Let us tell you...
We all know how Ranveer and Deepika didn't shy away from indulging in a little PDA on social media even before their wedding but now that they have tied the knot and that too in such a lavish ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, there is nothing stopping them from talking about the other. So while speaking to Film Companion about why they click as a couple, Ranveer was as candid as they get. He said, "A part of the reason why Deepika and I were able to connect as people the way we did was because our upbringing was very similar. In the sense, that our folks are really normal people, so when the work is over we go home, it's very normal and it's very simple. I think we have a support system that keeps us grounded. Both of us have been brought to be a certain way." All praise for Deepika, he continued, "I can't say this about myself but I can tell you, she's such a simple girl. She's so normal, it's astonishing! She's like the biggest superstar and you have to see her at home...She's just... kya bolu?"
Well, clearly Ranveer is running out of words to describe his ladylove and isn't that the sweetest thing ever?
