Naagin 3 starts with Bela (Surbhi Jyoti) asking who is the Naagin from the clan who does not respect the Naag Mani. A woman materialises in front of her. It is Sumitra (Rakshanda Khan). Bela is shocked and she asks her why she is so surprised after challenging her. Bela says Maa...it is you? Sumitra says why are you so shocked? She says it is me and tells her to surrender the Naag Mani. Bela takes her step back in disbelief. Sumitra says all my other forms are fake. This is my real identity, I am an Icchadhari Naagin. She says she was the Naag Rani of a different clan. Bela is shocked at the level of treachery. Sumitra says do not waste my time, and give me the Naag Rani. Bela says I am not scared of your threats. Both of them come into their Icchadhari Naagin forms. Bela says I can give my life but now the Naag Mani. Sumitra who is the giant purple snake attacks Bela who is adamant to protect the stone.
Finally, Sumitra tells Bela that she will finish Maahir (Pearl V Puri). Bela tells her to spare Maahir. She says he is not her son as he does not have any special powers. She says I will finish him off. Bela says let us fight it out together but Sumitra wants to kill Maahir. Bela is in tears. She prays to Lord Bholenath. Vishakha comes there and rescues Bela and Maahir. Bela tells Vish that Sumitra is from an enemy clan. Maahir slowly gains consciousness. Bela and Vish come to normal form .When he wakes up, Bela tells him that she tried to kill at Vikrant's (Rajat Tokas) instigation. In tears, Bela confesses her love to him. She also reveals the truth of his mother to him. Vishakha tells Maahir that she is telling the truth.
They understand that Maahir has lost his memory due to the attack. He asks where is he? Both the women are shocked. Maahir can recollect Sumitra though. She also wakes up then and says these two women want to take away my life. Bela tells Maahir that how can he not recognize her? She is distraught. Bela tells him to show his anger on her but not distance himself like that. Bela says Maahir you love me and please do not shun my feelings. She says I will die without you.
Maahir says he is sorry that he is unable to identify who she is or their past history. Sumitra has the last laugh as the poison has worked. Maahir asks Sumitra what are they doing here? She says we were kidnapped. Bela calls her a liar. He blames her upbringing. Maahir and Sumitra leave. Vish says how come Maahir has no powers, and Yuvi has some. Bela says we need to find a remedy to the poison. Andy and Sumitra bring Maahir to the hospital. In the terrace of the hospital, Sumitra blames Vikrant for his failure in obtaining the Naag Mani. A flashback is shown where Sumitra is thrown out of Naag Lok for trying to steal the Naag Mani. She tells a young Vikrant that they have to avenge this insult. Sumitra talks about all her hardships and yells at Vikrant for being a failure in getting the Naag Mani.
Sumitra talks about how she killed Andy Sehgal's wife and married him taking her form. She says how she had to leave her place and live between humans. Vikrant says I also did my best. He says I tried to kill Ruhi/Bela's mom at her behest. Sumitra scolds him for actually falling in love with Ruhi. It is revealed that Vikrant faked his death. She says you are a jealous lover who has lost his focus on the Naag Mani. Sumitra calls Vishakha a stupid woman. Vikrant tells her to keep Vish away. They have a massive argument. Sumitra says Bela has started loving Maahir. Sumitra says I have started loving the mortal world also and want to rule over both Naag Lok and this world.
Sumitra says all the property is in Maahir's name and now he remembers only his mom. She says I will usurp all his wealth. The doctor says the accident has damaged Maahir's brain. Andy gets furious. Bela enters his room and gets teary-eyed. He tells her to leave. Kuhu throws Bela out of the room and tells her to get out of his life. Sumitra tells Vikrant that they need not worry about Bela as he has forgotten her. She tells him to woo Bela back and get the precious stone. Vikrant tells her that she is being selfish. She begins to emotionally blackmail her. She says I want you to seek revenge from them. She cries bitterly.
They decide to take Maahir home. Kuhu's husband reaches there with the baby. Maahir is surprised to see the little one and showers all his love on the tiny tot. Sumitra comes there. When they reach home, Bela informs them that she has made breakfast. She says I have made all arrangements for the family members. Sumitra confronts Bela in the kitchen. She says I am making Falooda for my husband. She tells her to get out. A flashback is shown where Bela tells everyone that she wants to try her best to bring Maahir's memory back. She says she is hopeful and begs for co-operation. Andy and the family members support her.
Bela says I will be here and I know Maahir is your pawn. She says I will find out your intention and expose you. Bela tells her to behave well. Sumitra is furious. Maahir recovers and is confused about his life. He opens an album and sees his wedding pictures. Bela opens a box and shows him stuff which they used. She tries her best to make him remember stuff. She narrates the tale of his Naani and he is surprised.
