It's time for the makers of Yash and Srinidhi-starrer KGF makers to rejoice. Why, you ask? Well, their film is witnessing an upward trend right on day 2 of its release and if that is no reason to celebrate, we don't know what is. The film, after opening with a total of Rs 24.50 crore worldwide collections, has now managed to earn Rs 19.20 crore on day 2, in its Kannada version alone. In fact, the Hindi version of the film has also shown growth and managed to mint around Rs 3 crore on day 2. We will still have to wait for the US box office figures to come in but as of now too, the film has recorded a good total of around 22.20 crore, taking the total earning to Rs 46.70 crore in two days, which is huge for a Kannada film.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the day 2 collections of the Hindi version of the film and wrote:
#KGF witnesses an upward trend on Day 2 [Sat]... Biz should grow further on Day 3 [Sun]... Growth on Day 2 [vis- -vis Day 1]: 42.86%... Fri 2.10 cr, Sat 3 cr. Total: 5.10 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version.

In the film, Yash plays an assassin/gangster Rocky Bhai who is set to the mining hub of Kolar Gold Fields to eliminate the evil Garuda.
BollywoodLife's reviewer, Urmimala Banerjee, in her review, wrote, "Yash is in scintillating form as the cocky badass gangster who can also prove that he is a man with class. The actor is intense, formidable and smouldering in every frame. He does not let go of the larger-than-life character in any frame. Prashanth Neel's screenplay is a non-linear one and keeps you engrossed. It takes you through the character's journey from the fifties to the eighties. After Yash, the biggest attraction is the production design."
