The first single from Petta titled Marana Mass will be out this evening and fans of superstar Rajinikanth are eagerly waiting to hear the mass number. The music of Petta is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and is expected to be a mix of class and mass. The makers gave a sneak peek into the making of the first single Marana Mass and one can expect a mass masala number from Anirudh. The video gives a glimpse of the kind mass beats Marana Mass would have with touch of Kuthu folk. Anirudh Ravichander is seen conducting the drums part for the song and this has only raised the expectations on the song. Marana Mass is sung by legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam who reunites with Rajinikanth after many years. Going by Anirudh s reputation of churning out hit mass numbers, Marana Mass is also expected to be another hit number in his list.

Petta is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and stars Rajinikanth in a stylish mass role. Petta also stars Simran and Trisha Krishnan as the leading ladies and will be their first time to feature in a Rajinikanth film. Tamil top star Vijay Sethupathi will also be seen playing a key role in Petta and is expected to have few intense scenes with superstar. Acclaimed Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen playing the antagonist in Pett and will be his first film down South.
