Kangana Ranaut's Queen was one of the biggest surprise hits of 2014. Apart from being one of the commercial successes, it garnered accolades with the National Award as well as the Filmfare Best Actress Award for the lead role. The fresh story of a woman going on a single honeymoon after her marriage being called off was loved by the audience. And now the same story will be narrated in Kannada with Parul Yadav playing the same character and the film is titled Butterfly.
The makers of the rom-com released the teaser of the Queen-remake and we see the de-glam look of Parul as Parvati aka Paro. If you have seen the Kangana Ranaut-starrer, each and every frame of Butterfly will remind you of it. Whether it's crossing the streets of Paris, a hilarious scene with the thief or a bar sequence, the promo takes us back to the Queen journey. If you look at the teaser, you will see Elli AvrRam as well, who is portraying the character of Lisa Haydon. With the promo, it looks like the makers have stuck to the essence of the original one and have not tried to twist it in any way. We are sure this will definitely strike the chord with the audience. Directed by Ramesh Aravind, Butterfly is being produced by Manu Kumaran and Parul Yadav herself. It is presented by Taizoon Khorakiwala under the banner of Mediente Films. The music of the film is given by Amit Trivedi, who also composed for the original one, and the dialogues are written by Mamta Sagar and Ramesh Aravind.
