Samantha Akkineni begins shooting for her next film with director Nandini Reddy – all deets here

South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni has had a terrific 2018 with all her releases in Telugu and Tamil turning out to super hit flicks. The actress has now joined hands with Ala Modalaindi and Kalyana Vaibhogam director Nandini Reddy. The yet untitled film has gone on the floors yesterday in Hyderabad with a puja ceremony being held. Samantha has joined the sets today and shared the excitement about her film on her Twitter page. "Prepping for my most interesting character yet ... I ve realised I get scared a lot , I am nervous all the time ,but I have never not accepted a challenge . Sometimes ,actually most times you are stronger than you think you are .. #newbeginnings,"[sic] tweeted Samantha along with a picture of the script.

Besides Samantha, the yet untitled film will also feature veteran actress Lakshmi in a key role while Chalo actor Naga Shourya will be seen playing the male lead in this project. According to sources close to the unit of the film, the venture may hit the screens in mid-2019. Samantha has had a slew of films releasing in 2018 which includes the prestigious biopic on iconic Telugu actress Savitri titled Mahanti. The actress was last seen in U-Turn which was a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil, and was a remake of a Kannada film with the same title. The Kannada version starred Shraddha Srinath in the lead role. Samantha was also seen playing the leading lady in Vishal-starrer Irumbu Thirai which was dubbed into Telugu as Abhimanyudu. The actress was also paired with Ram Charan for the first time in Rangasthalam which went on to become one of the biggest hits of 2018.
