Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are 'super-excited' to kickstart shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's Panipat

It seems that today, November 30 is a lucky day for Bollywood as two films are beginning their journey today. In the morning, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani started the shooting of Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Good News and just a few hours back, Arjun Kapoor announced that he is embarking on a special as he begins the filming of Ashutosh Gowariker's period-war drama Panipat. The actor shared the news on his Twitter account by tweeting, "Embarking on a journey like never before... with Ashu sir & our entire team.#Panipat #PanipatShootBeginsToday".

Kriti Sanon also shared her excitement about the project through a tweet, where she also revealed that she'll join the cast in the next few days. "Our #Panipat journey begins today. Super excited for this new chapter.. gonna join you guys in 2days.. lets do this! ?? #PanipatShootBeginsToday". Director Ashutosh Gowariker, who is known for helming films like Lagaan, Swades, Jodha Akbar and Mohenjo Daro, will be co-producing the project. Coming to the character, Arjun will play the part of Sadashivrao Bhau (commander-in-chief of Maratha Army), while Sanjay will essay the role of Ahmad Shah Durrani (Shah of Durrani Empire), who emerged victorious in the third battle of Panipat. As for Kriti, she will play the role of Sadashivrao s second wife Parvatibai. The music of the film will be composed by award-winning duo Ajay-Atul and the film is scheduled to release on December 6, 2019. So, are you excited for Panipat? Tweet to us...
