TV actress Reyhna Pandit is all set to romance the screens as Manmohini. After being a part of three shows, the actress got many fans courtesy her negative character Svetlana in Ishqbaaaz. Recently, the show became a butt of controversies when one of its lead character Anika, played by actress Surbhi Chandna, was sacked from the show. Apparently, the actress was asked to leave due to a generation leap. This didn't go down well with the fans of the show. They started a massive uproar on social media. They went berserk!
#NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaaz started trending. Recently, we got in touch with Reyhna who was a prominent character in the show. While exclusively speaking to us, Pandit revealed why the exit of Anika was justified.
She started by accepting that, "Ishqbaaaz did give" her "the visibility". While talking about the decision of Anika and the super six's removal, Pandit said, "It's a creative call, every story changes and evolves. Even our lives change over the years. The people who were a part of my life five years ago are not a part of my life now! And it is a TV show, the story will change."
While speaking about the movement wherein the fans asked the show to be shut down if Anika was not a part of it, the actress shared her point of view. "That is Surbhi's fanbase. Her work has spoken for her. Fans are a little sensitive, obsessive and posessive. But it is a great thing that they are fighting for a character. It's a great remark on the TV industry. The character was so big and impactful and she portrayed it so well. People will feel a little bad but it is the need," she shared.
