Robert Downey Jr’s contract ends with Avengers: Endgame? Fans, including Tapsee Pannu, breakdown on hearing Iron Man star’s exit news

It has been ten years since the Marvel Cinematic Universe began. The red carpet rolled out with Iron Man aka Tony Stark walking out and announcing, I am Iron Man. Over the decade-long journey, fans have grown so close to Robert Downey Jr s Marvel character. Through the Avengers movies, the Captain America movie and the recent Spider-Man movie, Tony has become one of the key characters who draws the audience into the cinemas.

So imagine the horror that took over Twitter when news of his exit from MCU took over the internet. Yes, news is doing the rounds suggesting that Downey s contract with Marvel Studios ends with Avengers: Endgame.

Although it isn t surprising given that the end of his deal with the studio made headlines prior to the release of Avengers: Infinity War. However, discussion sprung up yet again this week and it has led Twitter breaking down. While many were quick to assume that Iron Man is dying in Avengers 4, others were just hoping Marvel renews the contract.

Bollywood star Taapsee Pannu was among the many fans who received the news with disbelief and expressed concern.

There are several theories suggesting that Tony Stark will die in the Avengers movie. The most popular theory suggests that Tony and Steve Rogers aka Captain America will die together. A Reddit user also pointed out that the makers gave away the superheroes deaths in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

In the movie, after Ultron escapes the Stark Tower, addresses the team and says, A hostile alien army came charging through a hole in space. We re standing 300 feet below it. We re the Avengers. We can bust arms dealers all the livelong day but that up there, that s... That s the endgame. How were you guys planning on beating that? referring to Loki entering Earth with the Chitauri army in the first movie

Captain replies: Together . We ll lose, Tony adds, Then we ll do that together too, in complete Captain America style which shatters our hearts every time we hear it.
