The wait is over! Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi trailer has finally released. The film, which has been in the news since some time tells the valiant tale of Queen Laxmibai who fought the British in the Mutiny of 1857. Kangana has invested a lot in the film. She took over the directorial reins after filmmaker Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish quit the project due to various reasons. The highlight of the trailer is undoubtedly Kangana's passionate performance as the queen and the terrific action scenes. The film is also special for fans of Ankita Lokhande who has a meaty role as Jhalkaribai, Laxmibai's aide who helped her escape by sacrificing her own life. This marks her debut in Bollywood.
The actress worked overtime to ensure that Manikarnika was completed on time. One of the highlights is the action sequences that are choreographed by the Hollywood stunt director, Nick Powell. The actress has worked extensively on the post-production of the film. In fact, shoot of the film and making of the teaser was happening simultaneously in October. We saw some fierce battle scenes in the teaser too. TV actor Taher Shabbir is also a part of the project. Rani Laxmibai has been the embodiment of the courage and resilience of Indian women since decades.
