Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone attended their first award show as man and wife recently. The two made for one stunning couple at the red carpet of Star Screen Awards 2018 and we just couldn t take our eyes off them. In fact, Ranveer won the best actor award for Padmaavat and proud wifey got teary-eyed as her love went on the stage to receive the trophy. While giving his winning speech at the ceremony, the actor got all emotional and dedicated the award his to his parents, sister, late grandmother and his ladylove. The livewire of Bollywood credited his baby for keeping him grounded, centred and for his success. To be honest, the video of Ranveer s speech left us in tears just like DP.
But, little did anyone know, that very moment was a dream come true for Ranveer. At the recently held media interaction for Simmba, the newlywed revealed that he had dreamt of winning an award with Deepika Padukone by his side a few years back. And the same was fulfilled at the Star Screen Awards 2018. Letting us know as to how he felt at that moment, the actor added, Receiving the award was like a dream come true. It was magical. I had dreamt of winning an award with Deepika by my side a few years back. Where I would go and kiss her, give an acceptance speech. It was an emotional moment for me. How adorable is that?!
Coming to his film Simmba, the actor will be seen essaying the role of a cop for the first time ever. Sara Ali Khan will be seen romancing him in this one. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba is all set to hit the 70mm screen on December 28, 2018.
