Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh dated for six years before tying the knot last November. They had two weddings at Lake Como and three receptions in India. The December 1 party was attended by who's who of the industry. Now both the actors have dived into work. While Ranveer is busy promoting Simmba, Deepika is giving interviews and is talking about her married life. Now, things change after marriage and people take certain decisions based on that. So when Deepika was asked if she will kiss post marriage, we wanted to know what she would say. The actress was asked this question on Famously Filmfare and she said, "Chheee we just went back 50 years. We ll know soon."
There were many actresses who had decided to include no kissing clause in their contracts for various reasons and marriage was one of them. Kareena Kapoor had refused to kiss on screen after getting married to Saif Ali Khan. But later she got over the clause when she locked lips with Arjun Kapoor in Ki & Ka. Explaining the same she had revealed to DNA, "I think too much fuss is being made out of a non-issue. It s being a little silly to keep on about the kissing bit when there s much else to talk about. Everybody s talking so much about it that now I want to clear all doubts. When we make certain statements we may mean something but a few years later down the line, as we grow older, wiser and more mature, our mindset, views and outlook to life changes too. So, if we said something then, we believed in it, today that has changed. When Saif and I got married there was a slight possessiveness and we decided let s not do some things on screen now that we are married and yes, kissing was one of them. That happens, I think, with most newly married couple." Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too apparently refrains from any kissing scenes in her films post marrying Abhishek Bachchan.
But it seems Deepika has no qualms about if at all.
