Keeping up with the years of friendship that he shares with Mahesh Manjrekar, Salman Khan is now all set to give a platform to his daughter Ashwami in B-town. Manjrekar, who has worked with the 52-year-old in Ready, Jai Ho and the Dabangg franchise, confirmed the same to a leading daily. "Yes, Salman is launching my daughter. It will happen at some time. We'll cross the bridge when we get it." Describing his friend as the most warm-hearted person in the industry, he added, "Salman is the most rooted person I have come across, a complete middle class-man in his head."
Apart from talking about his daughter's Bollywood debut, the actor also spoke about the remake of Marathi film Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho, which was to be produced by Salman Khan. Revealing that the project is on hold at present, he said, "For the lead, Salman wanted Govinda, who had apprehensions about the role, so the things didn't work out." Even though the project is not in works right now, Mahesh promises to make it happen in the future as the subject is close to his heart.
Speaking about Salman's work front, the actor will be seen in five different avatars in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat which has an ensemble cast of Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff among others. Produced by Atul Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar, Bharat is slated to release on Eid 2019.
