The Tamil superstar, who has had two releases this year 2.0 and Kaala turns 68 today and he s going strong on the work front. Fans across the world have taken to Twitter to wish the superstar and Kamal Haasan has joined them on the occasion. The Vishwaroopam actor shared a sweet birthday message for the actor on his 68th birthday.

The two stars have starred together in several movies, which include Ninaithale Inikkum, Thillu Mullu and Aadu Puli Attam to name a few. How we wish we could get to see the two stars come together for yet another movie in the near future.
While we wait for that to happen, Rajini is gearing up for yet another release. The actor will be seen in Petta releasing in January 2019. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj the music for the film has been given by Anirudh Ravichander so we could expect fire crackers at the box office. Speaking at the audio launch of the movie, Rajinikanth described it as an "action-packed entertainer".
"When Sembian and Kannan from Sun Pictures came home and requested me to act in their production, I immediately gave my nod. Karthik Subbaraj had pitched a story to me. It was on my mind and as I listened to stories from other filmmakers, I wasn't quite satisfied," he said, an IANS report quotes him.
"Then, I called Karthik again this year and asked him to narrate. This time, he stunned me with an excellent, well-developed version of the story he pitched earlier," Rajinikanth said.
