It is going to a treat for eyes this weekend at the cinemas as Aquaman is scheduled to hit the theatres. We cannot wait to watch Jason Momoa (shirtless) in the DC movie. The actor, who shot to fame after he played Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, is playing the DC superhero for the third time. He was previously seen playing Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (although it was just a glimpse but he had the trident in his hand so we count it as one) and Justice League where Aquaman joined Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Cyborg and Superman. And now, he s set to present the origin story of the DC superhero in a standalone movie.
While we re excited to watch a shirtless (we mentioned it already? Oh damn!) Jason, we couldn t help but wonder if an Aquaman adaption was made in Bollywood, who would fit the bill? Amidst our thoughts of a shirtless Jason (okay, we stop now), wiping off the drool off our desks after watching the Aquaman trailer, it suddenly struck us - we ve felt like this for a Bollywood actor recently Ranveer Singh.
The recently married actor (Alexa, play Nothing Breaks Like A Heartbreak by Miley Cyrus) was seen sporting a beefed up look for two movies Padmaavat and Simmba and it got us thinking, damn, he could pull off a Jason Momoa at the drop of the hat. The Bollywood star has also offered us a glimpse of his long tresses in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie which released earlier this year.
Looks aside, Ranveer s comic timing teased in the Simmba trailer seems like he could add a funny tone to the Aquaman movie. He is already a superhero in our minds so what s the harm in bringing our imagination to life, huh?
We think he could talk to fishes if Jason trains him, and well he can lend Ranveer a trident as well so there s that.
What do you think? Shouldn t Ranveer swap places with Jason for a Bollywood version of the movie? Tweet to @bollywood_life and let us know your thoughts.
