As Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's dream wedding took place in Italy's Lake Como on November 14 and 15, all fans could do was wait patiently for a few sneak peaks of their favourite couple tying the knot. But what DeepVeer delighted us with were beautiful high definition images of all the important moments from the ceremonies that they took part in. From mehendi and the Konkani and Sindhi weddings, to the three grand wedding receptions, the power couple simple looked out of this world. Deepika Padukone, as the new bride, stunned in every single picture that made it to social media, while Ranveer Singh gave her tough competition with equally outstanding outfits. For most of the wedding festivities, Deepika chose custom-made traditional outfits designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. DeepVeerKiShaadi, which extended over 15 days, had us tripping over the crystal clear pictures, especially admiring the new bride's regal outfits. From sarees to lehengas and chic cocktail wear, Deepika carried it all with panache. So, we decided to go deeper into the details of what the bride wore at the different functions, one pic at a time.
Mehendi Ceremony
At her mehendi ceremonies, Deepika looked beautiful in an all-over embellished red and pink kurta set by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She completed her pretty ensemble with multi-layered navratan rani haar with uncut diamonds, pearls, rubies and emeralds set in 18 karat gold.
Sindhi Wedding
On her Sindhi wedding day, Deepika looked pretty in a stunning red lehenga by the same designer. Her lehenga was hand-embroidered with golden tilla details and paired with a chowki design dupatta. The heavy border of her lehenga had Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava written on it in Devnagri. Talking about her jewellery, Deepika wore 22 karat gold and uncut diamond jewellery - a statement maang tikka, jhumkas, a bridal chuda, a nose ring and beautiful golden kalirey.
Konkani Wedding
For her Konkani wedding, Deepika draped a red kanjivaram saree. She accessorised her wedding saree with a statement mathapatti, layered necklaces and jhumkas in jadau, pearls and emeralds from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection.
Bengaluru Reception
At the Bengaluru reception, Deepika dazzled in a golden saree gifted by her mother Ujjwala Padukone, as per Konkani tradition, from Angadi Galleria. The actress accesorised her look with a heavy jewellery set. As for the make up, the actress opted for hickly-lined eyes with beautiful bronze eye make-up, red lips and styled her hair in a centre-parted bun.
Mumbai Reception - November 28
At the Mumbai reception which was held on November 28, Deepika opted for an ivory and gold Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla chikankari lehenga. The designers had revealed that it took them 16,000 man-hours to make Deepika's ensemble.
Mumbai Reception - December 1
At the last reception which was attended by the who's who of Bollywood, Deepika was dressed in a red embelished gown by Zuhair Murad which had a sexy plunging neckline. The gown also had a long train, which the actress later shed to be able to comfortably groove with her husband on the dance floor. She completed her look with red stilettos which too were replaced by sneakers later when the beauty partied hard with her Bollywood friends.
A fabulous visual treat right? Honestly, we still can't get over the gorgeous outfits that Deepika chose for her most special days and wonder when will we get to see her don them again. As for now, we just wish the newlyweds a happy married life!
