2.0 CRUSHES Jolly LLB 2 to become Akshay Kumar's fifth highest grosser of all-time

Director Shankar's 2.0 is setting new benchmarks at the box office not only in its Tamil and Telugu versions but also in Hindi dubbed version. In just 6 days, the sci-fi venture collected Rs 122.50 crore at the ticket windows and surpassed the business of Bollywood films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid and Pad Man. In fact, it will surpass the collections of Raazi, Stree, Badhaai Ho and Thugs of Hindostan in the coming days to become the sixth fifth highest grosser of the year.

Apart from shattering several records, the mega-budget venture has also turned out to be a game-changer Akshay Kumar. The film has turned out to be the fifth-highest grosser of his career and today it will cross the lifetime business of Rustom, Airlift and Rowdy Rathore to grab the second spot in the list. In fact, by the end of its extended opening week, 2.0 will become Akshay Kumar's highest grosser of all-time. Made on the humongous budget of over Rs 600 crore, 2.0 has recovered a good amount of chunk before its release through digital, satellite and other rights. It marks the third collaboration between director Shankar and Rajinikanth after Sivaji and Enthiran. Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, it also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles.
