The upcoming festive season of Pongal/Sankranti this year will be a huge one for audience since there are quite a few films releasing. Rajinikanth-starrer Petta will hit the screens this week on Pongal and fans are much excited about it. Along with Petta, Ajith s Viswasam will also be releasing this week and it is believed to be a huge clash in Tamil cinema. However, fans of both the camps perceive it in a different way and want both the films to do well. In Telugu, we have the ambitious biopic NTR Kathanayakudu that will be hitting the screens during the week which is the biggest movie of all in Tollywood. Petta
After 2.0, Rajinikanth is back with Petta which is directed by young filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. The trailer and teaser of Petta gives a glimpse of what s in the film and fans are super excited looking at their favourite star back in the 90 s look in the film. Petta also stars Trisha Krishnan, Simran, Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in important roles.

Viswasam
Ajith, after Vivegam, is back with Viswasam which is directed by Siva. Said to be a massy entertainer, the film will have Ajith sporting a rugged and massy look which has gotten fans excited about the film. The trailer of Viswasam, that was released recently, has sent fans into a frenzy and are now eagerly waiting for the release of the film. Viswasam will release on Januray 10 along with Petta.

NTR Kathanayakudu
A biopic on the legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao, the first part of the film titled NTR Kathanayakudu is releasing on January 10. This part of the biopic will unfold the cinematic life of NTR which has Nandamuri Balakrishna in the titular role. NTR Kathanayakudu also stars Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati and many others in key roles.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama
Ram Charan and Boyapati Sreenu team up for the first time in Vinaya Vidheya Rama and fans expect this to be a complete entertainer. The trailer and posters featuring a fit Ram Charan have made the wait harder for fans who are quite eager for the film s release. Kiara Advani will be seen romancing Ram Charan in this film which is hitting the screens on January 11.

F2: Fun & Frustration
This is the first multi-starrer of 2019 in Tollywood which will feature Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, F2 is said to be a comical ride and will have hilarious episodes all throughout. Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada will be seen as the leading ladies in the film which is slated to be released on January 12 worldwide.
